Do Not Trust
I contacted this "company" via Wallapop regarding a MacBook Pro 15" 16gb Ram 512SSD for 900£ and I thought it was interesting offer. He offered 600£.
Well I have a long list of messages insisting on purchasing this item and asking me to pay asap.
The guy only sells a 11k Rolex and iPhone 6S and the MacBook. It all sounded weird. So I decided to do a research. And I found these reviews...
When I got to tell I was not interested in making business guess what. Yes he insulted me!
Just be very careful out there with STRANGERS.

Let Down
Reading other reviews it seems this company is doing this to a lot of people. I was given a quite of £170 in argos vouchers for my iphone 5s. Sent the phone off and then received a text saying the phone had a value of £0 due to screen damage. There was no screen damage the phone itselfs had general wear and tear as expected but nothing that would warrant a value of £0.Absolute waste of my time!

Tried Once Will Never Use Again!
I sold a second had phone to MPE on the back of being offered a reasonable price for my phone it was in mint condition (I had it in a case since I had it) however soon after they had received it I had an email from them saying there was a small crack (break)in the case. There was nothing wrong with the case at all! I know this for a fact as I checked it over before I sent the phone off. They should not promise a price they have no intention of paying! will never use them again nor recommend them to anyone. PS I don't often write reviews but felt I should make people aware that this company rip people off,

What A Joke Of A Company
I can understand a reduced valuation when there are minor scratches to phones cases, but to call it a crack was ridiculous.
Also when the phone was sent, 1 day after being used every day for over a year, a mysterious screen problem has developed since it arrived with them.
I have now tried 2 different email addresses to contact them, but both have bounced back to me.
To offer £73 then reduce it to £12 is insulting.
Avoid these, there are plenty of other companies out there.

Water Damage On A Phone That Never Got Wet?!
I sent a pristine 16gb iPhone 4 to MPX for the offer of £58 in Debenhams vouchers. I just received an email saying the payment would be £0 as the phone was water damaged! My phone was kept in a case with a screen protector on during all its years of service and never even got damp! It had no scratches on the screen or metal sides and worked perfectly. This is a complete rip off and MPX should be avoided at all costs. You're better off just taking your phone down to the dump and dropping it in the electrical items recycling bin!!

Aka Brightstar - Samsung Trade-in Uses These Inept Rip-offs!
Received a quote of £120 for a brand new iPhone 5 64gb. Sent my phone in as part of the Samsung Trade-in deal to get double the value in vouchers. Three weeks later I'd still not heard from them and tried to email. The email bounced back. Tried again. Bounced back again. Tried from another email. Another bounce back. By this point I was very concerned and contacted Samsung. After being shoved from pillar to post, they contacted Brightstar on my behalf.
While waiting for a reply, I received a revised offer of £0 from Brightstar due to (and I quote) 'LCD works OK?,LCD isn't all white or all black?'. They enclosed two photos, neither of which showed any damage, nor did they actually show an iPhone 5. They instead showed very clearly a black tablet with a working screen.
Samsung asked me to call Brightstar / MPX directly, which I did, to find that there had indeed been a mistake. In fact the offer was all of £30 and was due to a failure of the LCDs. In the same photos, which they refused to admit were not of my phone, they insisted there was a yellow or green or blue line around the edge showing that the LCDs weren't working properly. No. No it doesn't. If you can't tell whether the colour is yellow or blue, then you need to accept that there is not a line there. I can also confirm that there was no line around the screen on my phone when I sent it in, either.
I've rejected their offer and asked for the phone back. At this point I expect them to have stamped on it just to make sure I don't get a better offer. I will NEVER partake in an offer that uses Brightstar, MPX or any renamed version of their company. You can call it what you like, but a foul company is a foul company.

Xperia Z1 - Dont Believe What They Tell You!
I was offered £120 for my 6months old Sony Xperia Z1
I was told to make sure it was 100% charged, inserted into the jiffy bag which they sent, and then into a box (they suggested the original box) and if I wanted to make sure it was insured, to send it via Royal Mail Special Delivery, which cost me over £7
I received an e-mail saying they had reviewed the mobile and sorry to tell me that it was showing a red indicator which is for water damage and could only offer me £24!
This is a waterproof phone, but has never been near any water anyway!
I said I don't believe them and want the item returning immediately.
They then offered me an immediate increase from £24 to £50 which I also refused.
I received my phone back, minus the expensive screen cover I had had fitted, and I checked it out and there is no sign of any water damage and is in full working condition.
I have since then looked at other reviews for this company, and was appalled to see so many people have had the same experience as I had.
I will never recommend this company to anyone, in fact, I will go out of my way to tell them to avoid this company at all costs

Was offered £114 for perfect condition iPhone 4s 16gb received no communication 10 days later called them and was advised there was significant damage to phone I have photos to prove there isn't I asked for I to be returned to be advised it's now been sold! Currently reporting to ombudsman as I never agreed to that sale and they clearly lied about damage to phone.

Mobilephonexchange - Avoid At All Costs!
Was offered £110 for my iPhone 4s 16gb. Got an email (at 10pm on a Friday night!) saying they received my phone and it was water damaged, including a photo of my phone which showed no damage. Had the phone for over 2 years - in almost mint condition and certainly not water damaged. Had to wait until Monday to speak to somebody (conveniently their phone lines only operate Mon-Fri). Immediately was offered £54 (explain that one!) - told them it wasn't open to offers - that my phone was not damaged and they had 2 options: 1) give me the £110 as agreed or 2) return the phone but if there was any damage (water damage included) I would sue them for the damage and costs etc (threw in the fact that I was a solicitor and that I just wished I had read some of the reviews on here).
How can SO MANY phones be water damaged?!
Phone back today - guess what? In mint condition just as I sent it. Will try Mazuma (which I should have used in the first place!).
AVOID THESE PEOPLE - I'll report them to Trading Standards and the OFT.
Bad Service
