When booking a table for two I was given the option of 7pm or 9pm. On requesting 7pm nothing was said about having to vacate the table by a certain time and assumed the next sittings would be at 9pm. Throughout our three course meal we were made to feel like we were being rushed. As soon as we put our cutlery down our plates were taken and the next course was brought out straight away. As soon as we finished our desert we were asked to sit in the lounge bar to finish our drinks so that somebody else could have our table. For a restaurant that is supposed to be one of the best in sunderland I do not feel that 1hour and 10minutes is enough time to enjoy a three course meal, and the atmosphere. We'd have gone to macdonalds if we wanted a quick bite to eat! The staff may as well have said to us "you've spent your money now can you leave". They had obviously over booked and were only interested in getting as many people through the door as possible so that they could make more money. At least if they had said when I was booking that the table would be needed by a certain time we could have had the option to either eat later or eat somewhere else. If they have an issue with space they should try re arranging their sitting and not forfeit the customers experience as a result. I dont think I will be eating at asiana again. The thai manner is just as good quality and the service is much better
