Overall the Dodge Avenger ES is one of the few that HOTT straight out of the factory. The interior is very comfortable, stylish, and just simply useful. The powerplant is more than enough for the car, and other than having some problems with changing the spark plugs (back 3 are hidden under the intake manifold) the engine is very easy to work on. Now, I know I got lucky when I found one fully loaded with leather, power everything, but I was very impressed with the factor sound system. True, I've changed out the factory with pioneer cones and pioneer subs, but the factory 6" by 9"'s are attached to my home stereo. Dodge made a mistake when they stopped making this car in 2000. I love it, and wouldn't want anything else.

The Avenger resembles the Viper...so it's kind of a less expensive version - a baby Viper. Personally, I've had no major problems with my '98 ES. It's been a joy!

The Dodge Avenger ES is great. Though I have had problems with the wheel bearings. I have 152,000 miles on it and have had no other major problems. Still going strong. Nothing more to say, I love my car!!
