I received as a present a Fulton traditional style umbrella with a polished wood handle (the best bit). Compared to my previous non Fulton umbrella, this new one leaves much to be desired. In comparison to my previous traditional style umbrella this one Is undersize and just about accommodates one person. However being undersize no longer matters because this product is not robust or well made and uses inferior materials i.e. the stays that are used in it's construction. The stays are that weak and of such poor quality that this umbrella is not suitable to be used in certain windy conditions. Given it was pouring with rain the morning I needed to use an umbrella to go to the local shop. Accordingly and as it was handy I used the above mentioned umbrella - mistake! Within a few hundred yards of home the wind got up a bit (not excessive) but sufficient to cause one of the umbrella stays to bend and fracture. I have to conclude so far as my experience is concerned that Fulton umbrellas sell on a name but not on quality. I now need another umbrella but it most definitely will not be a Fulton as I no longer have confidence in this brand.

The Fulton Windbreaker was great until it encountered the wind. On a 50 metre walk from the car park to the office my windbreaker suffered irreparable damage. It wasn’t excessively windy and I had expected more from this £19 product. In reality a 99p alternative would have lasted longer. Disappointed, especially given the product name!
