I ordered a tent from here from Coleman and couldn't believe the deal. They gave me free camping and caravan club membership and a free tent carpet that was worth £140 and the tent only cost me £169. Mega deal and it all arrived the day after I placed the order. Would definitely recommend to friends particularly for camping kit. Great!

This company saved me money that's why I'm writing this review. I called for advice which I found to be excellent. They talked me into buying something that I wasn't entirely sure about but the girl knew a lot more about equipment than I do. So I placed the order on her advice. And I'm glad I did. It turned up next day and was way better than the stuff I'd looked at in other shops. Better still it was at a better price. Very impressed with this company, their service and their delivery. Recommended.

I would use these people again as they are friendly and efficient. I ordered a lot of stuff and looked long and hard before buying. Initially put off by reviews but their prices were the best I could find so gave them a call to check them out. They were friendly and they checked all the items were in stock. All good everything arrived next day. I don't know why some people have experienced problems! Would recommend.

It's 2014 and it doesn't look like anythng has improved.

I placed an order for an 'in stock' item yesterday and late today there was a notification that stock will take a week at least and then there is admin and shipping time. Not quite the 2-3 days delivery promised.

I spoke to them and made the point that no delivery promise could be made if the stock has not been checked.

I looked on other forums and they are infamous for this and not only that but my 20 minutes wait on their 0844 number to cancel the order is also part of their service reputation.

This operation is also called skimania, campmania and outdoormania.

The website looks and works great but there is no clarity that there is no stock check so your delivery expetation is unachievable

Tried to buy a pillow and sleeping bag. Happy to pay delivery for the 2 combined however they only sent one (pillow still showing as in stock on their site 3 weeks later despite always being told it isn't). No chance of having a choice to cancel the order. Ended up paying over the odds for the sleeping bag due to postage. Really fed up and disappointed. They looked good on the site but wouldn't use them again.

The sleeping bag arrived 2 weeks late as well! Wasn't even told when to expect it.

Steer clear of these guys. They feel like an amateur set up. They don't reply to emails either. No customer service!

I ordered a Coleman Hudson double sleeping bag, with the understanding that I would receive my product the next day....how wrong was I? After two weeks had gone by, and I still hadn'tg through to a representative via the telephone was like...well, there's more chance of Lord Lucan riding in on Shergar! It just wasn't happening. I received a reply shortly after, and apparently 'Yodel', the courier service had 'trouble' finding my home address...where were they travelling from....Outer Mongolia? Anyway, I finally received my payment back in full, but an aploology would have been nice. To sum up, I would never use this company again...appealing service, and vbest to avoid it like the plague.

As stated in my previous review, we did visit the 4 storey building which seemed to house a vast quantity of outdoor clothing and some sleeping bags. [But not the one I wanted !].Although the computor screen at the premises did show all the tents I wished to view to be in stock they were not . The young man , who seemed to be in sole charge, actually went to check stock and from his embarassed atitude when I told him how far I had travelled knew already that he would not find any.I wonder if suppliers like Coleman , gelert etc., know how difficult it is to buy their products through this 'outlet'? .Quite nice to have a look around Holmfirth though !.

Very impressed by the web site so phoned to check that the 3 items of interest were indeed in stock as advertised . NONE OF THEM ACTUALLY WERE !. Two of the items were tents . As my wife was interested to see Holmfirth [ from Last Of The Summer Wine fame ] anyway, we will pay them a visit to see what the setup is . More details to follow ! . Sean Mc G.

Did wonder before ordering but had nothing to worry about. Ordered and received my order next day. Good quality kit at a really good price. In fact the stuff was that cheap that I wondered if it was genuine or a cheap Chinese copy. Rang them to find out and saw that they had a big shop so knew it was genuine. They said because they move so much stuff they get the best discounts that they pass on to us. Service really good, love the kit and would definitely buy from them again. In fact told my mate who was going on the same trip as me and he bought a load of gear from them and all of that was good as well (though doubt he’ll write a review – said what’s the point of writing a review unless it’s a bad one). Guess he’s right, but here’s my review anyway.

Campmania has taken some flack recently but I have never experienced a problem. I ordered off this lot and wasn't sure. But I have to say I am glad that I did! There service was superb. I rang first to check them out, got straight through and was given some good advice on what to buy (even saving me a few more pounds). The parcel with the jacket and pants turned up next day and it fitted perfectly thanks to the advice I was given. The telephone operator was very polite and courteous and the goods have been brilliant. My only slight negative was the packaging that the good came in, though everything else was so good, I have to give them five stars.
