Apple Is Great
Great product.Best graphics quality i enjoying it.Everyone in our family like this.
First Class
The item was delivered one time and securely packaged. Apple TV (v3) is great and priced realistically. Not worth waiting for v4 if and when it is issued.

An Amazing Piece Of Kit In Such A Small Package.
I only purchased my Apple TV 3 as I have recently moved and have no dvd rental shops near me so would be using it predominantly for film rental.
It was very easy to set up and was working within 3 minutes. Picture quality is superb, iTunes is very easy to use and playing media directly from my iPad and iPhone is a great feature.
Installed Plex server on my PC and the Plex streamer app on my iPhone and iPad for even better functionality and streaming capabilities.
Paid £70 new on eBay so a real bargain.

I love the apple tv, what a great device apple has come up with. I cancelled my netflix account and my tv provider and I just watch shows and movies on my AppleTv.
What a money saver, Apple surprises the world once again.

Ipod For Your Tv
I received the Apple TV as a gift and was skeptical it would be very useful. The launch of the 2.0 software with it’s movie rental capability has made the product much more useful. I’d still like to see new features being added more often than once a year but if you want a great internet movie rental machine this is it.
It automatically syncs my iPhoto library and makes it viewable on the HDTV. A great way to view photos with friends and family. Your photos become much more accessible and fun to share. The iTunes integration is nice for listening to your library over the home theater. It’s easy to listen to your favorite playlist while watching photos.
On the movie side, the experience of browsing for a movie, watching the trailer and then renting is nearly perfect. Downloading is quick and seamless with 7mb/sec internet. The movie selection is still thin but it's improving. No waiting for movies - select and download immediately. You can start watching within seconds depending on your internet speed. This device is very dependent on a fast internet connection. I cancelled my Netflix subscription after trying a couple movies on this device. I never felt like my Netflix subscription was fully used. With Apple TV you pay for only what you watch. HD content replaces the need to buy a Blu-Ray player and even the standard movies look as good or better than DVD.
The Apple TV could be much better with a way to browse the internet or enable iPhone apps. The YouTube content is ok but generally is very low resolution and looks bad on a TV. The television show store could also be improved with rentals or free content with some built in advertising. I have a hard time paying for a TV show when the networks let you watch free on the web. The only other improvement would be a sleep setting that puts the device in low power mode.

Just What I Was Looking For!
I've recently bought several (well 3) "smart tv" boxes.
The first was a Sony SMP-N100 - great quality and has more features than apple tv, e.g. audio out and more services including bbc iplayer, but it didn't have netflix, only lovefilm and sony entertainment network.
The second was a philips HMP2000 - which is just dire, it had netflix but after day 2 the remote was already broken, its slow, shabby and a poor product.
Then I found apple tv - nice looking product, lovely remote, and it has itunes, a movies section for the latest releases, netflix (which is great and good value for money), and also vimeo (which I love).
I honestly wish I'd bought the apple tv box first and saved myself a couple of hundred - it's a great all-rounder, the only thing missing in my opinion is support for iplayer and the other British on demand services.
General note: the sony has more features, and the new films are cheaper + play faster via sony entertainment network than they do via "apply movies".

Apple Get It Right. Again.
I've got a home AV setup which includes a NAS drive for all my photos/videos (we use napster/spotify via Sono's kit for music, so nothing much physically stored), an internet enabled TV, Sky HD box, Blu Ray & Onkyo home theatre kit
I've also got a WDTV live which I bought a couple of years ago to help stream my movies and photos from the NAS drive onto the tv (to show the grandparents pics of the kids etc)
The WDTV is OK but very clunky and as such its not use much in our house.
I thought Id give the Apple TV product a go, even though its doubling up a bit
Im very glad I did.
Just like the iphone 4 I've got, it just works, really well.
You can access youtube on it very easily indeed.
We use our Ipad 2 to access our NAS drive and then the new mirroring functionality to stream that over to the TV via the Apple TV - its excellent
We have also started using BBC iPlayer for the first time really as its now very easy to use - again loading it up on the Ipad2 and mirroring onto the TV. Previously we had a physical lead from the Ipad to the TV but it was pretty clunky, didnt always work and generally a pain - but the mirroring is excellent.
I'm now looking at a trial of Netflix as this Apple TV product has opened up a whole new world of opportunity!
If you can afford £99 (you can get it a BIT cheaper online - £93 ish) Id say get one - but only if you have an Ipad2 already. Without the Ipad2 things like BBC iplayer dont work so for me the value of the Apple Tv is lower
