Great Help Scoping Small Caravan Options.
Visited Perthshire Caravans today regarding small caravans. Despite arriving unannounced and having made it clear at the start we were only at the stage of scoping possible options, the staff could not have been more helpful, to the extent of bringing a traded in model out of back yard storage for us to see. There was no pressure to buy and sales staff were quick to answer any questions. or demonstrate equipment. We were free to walk around inspecting all the stock at leisure but never left so long we felt we were being ignored or forgotten.
I've posted this review as our experience did not bear out some earlier reviews which are fairly critical of customer service. We did not make a purchase on the day as that was never the intention but we would certainly consider dealing with the company in the future once we have made up our mind.

Told To Read The Manual
Bought a 2015 Motorhome December 2017. Great motorhome. Had to return it twice, at my expense. Heating in accommodation problems. NOT GOOD
When I picked it up after second repair. I also asked for a £660 solar panel to be fitted. I asked service department if I could be shown how it works. I was told to READ THE MANUAL.
The solar panel should have been explained at the time of uplift of the van not two days later. Which is totally unacceptable in my opinion.
With regards to my outburst. I had just been denied assistance by a member of staff.
My conversation with Mr Dunne, if overheard. Was because I am registered deaf in my right ear and I am inclined to talk loudly as a result.
I apologise if this was overheard by others.
I have requested that three members of staff be spoken to. To verify my claims. All of whom I have named. Two for misinformation and one for denying my request for assistance with a £660 unit I had just had fitted.
As of yet this has been ignored.
I say to the reader. YOU BE THE JUDGE.

Shocking Service!
Initially approached Perthshire Motorhomes when looking to buy a MH 3 months ago. Stopped into Perthshire Motorhomes on a Sunday afternoon ..... salesman completely uninterested and handed us a list of
MHs available on site. We hunted around and had a look at a few by ourselves. One MH we couldn’t find so went back to ask the salesman where it was located ..... his words were I have no idea you’ll have to look for it out there”! He was standing at the doorway doing absolutely nothing! Great service NOT! We eventually found the van waiting to go in for servicing I think. Due to the rudeness and totally unhelpful sales people we went further up the road and found another MH dealer and purchased a brand new Autotrail MH. One which we had seen at Perthshire earlier. Now however Perthshire even although they are an authorised Autotrail dealer will not fit an awning to our MH because there is an ongoing issue with people purchasing from elsewhere! But this would not have been the case if they had had competentl sales people in the first instance as they would have got the sale. Appalling way to treat customers! And this has been our 3rd visit to ask about this. The guy in their shop actually told us the other week it would be no problem just phone up and book it in!
I would never advise anyone to go near this company
No Sale, No Interest
Was looking to buy a caravan in the near future when my house sells. Saw a nice wee abbey 415 online, so my friend (who kindly drove my there from Glasgow) and I went to see it. Went to get the keys from the sales guy who,s eyes lit up at the thought of a sale. Are you trading in he asks. No I said, trying to explain about my house sale and I would be back in the near future to purchase something. When I said that the guy was totally disinterested. Gave me the keys without even looking my way. Whilst inspecting the van, out of nowhere he pops up, mumbling everything ok. (I think he thought we done a runner with his keys) I then say yes and while explaining to him again about the house sale and that I would be in soon to speak to him and with the possibility of purchasing a caravan from him in the very near future, he just turned and walked away. Eventually when I returned the keys, he just took them and said bye, not giving me a chance to ask questions. If this guy gave me 2 minutes of his time, I would be heading back to Perthshire caravans. But I will be taking my custom elsewhere to a dealer who shows a bit of respect to a potential customer.

Good Service
I am shocked at some of the negative reviews. Having traded in a motorhome for a new Burstner in 2017 I am delighted at the service provided by Perthshire Caravans.
I leave the van for servicing, driver takes me to Perth station to allow me to get a train home.
Some people mentioned that they would not service or fit accessories if van not purchased from them.
This would appear to be a wide spread issue as Knowpark would not carry out a recall on my previous Rapido as I had purchased it down south.
I would not let some of the negative reviews stopping you from purchasing from Perthshire Caravans.
Once They Get Your Money They Don't Give A Damn. E
Once they get your money they don't give a damn. Everything they fitted was faulty and the directors do not want to know. If you want to buy a motorhome do not go to Perthshire Caravans. Be warned bad after care service!!!

Customer Service On Swift Warranties Is Shocking
Particularly unhelpful and I feel as long as the sale goes through to hell with anything else.

Sad To Hear Service Still So Poor!
Bought our first motor home from Perthshire caravans 10 years ago, service was ok until we paid. We had that van for 2 years during which time we had numerous issues with the seals on the doors which were never repaired properly and despite this spent much time in their workshop. The after sales service was truly appalling! We took our complaint to one of the Directors who really had no clue about customer service. After much excitement about our first motor home this really scunnered us.....We traded that van in for another from company in the Midlands, who were excellent. Having thought about buying another van and with Perthshire caravans being closest to us, I decided to google for recent reviews. I'm glad I have as clearly things have not changed. Think I'll travel a bit further a field to get great service!

Excellant Service Pn Purchase Of Motorhomes
Purchased our first motorhome form Perthshire two years ago, we live in Plymouth so a long way to go to collect it, but Perthshire offered us the best deal and followed up with excellent service. We have just exchanged our motorhome for a newer model and again received fantastic service, nothing was too much trouble as we lived so far away we sent lots of emails and phone calls asking questions and the communication was excellent. Can't think off anything negative to say about these guys. We did try and purchase one nearer to home but none of the local dealers could be bothered to call us back or even show any interest in us when we went and had a look round. We would definitely recommend Perthshire and we look forward to making a further purchase when the time comes to exchange.
