“Promised 3 week delivery, still waiting 4 months later”

Horrendous. Car is a no show despite ordering 4 months ago and promised a 3 week delivery. Logged a complaint and it’s pointless as they aren’t prepared to do anything about it. Avoid like the plague and would never recommend anyone to purchase/lease a car from them.

“Advertise unavailable cars”

Absolutely terrible service, I guess they advertised a car that was never available at that price, they used delay tactics, by the end of the process I had chased by email in excess of 20 times on top of numerous calls, they did the credit search, I provided all details within minutes of being requested, the credit search apparently took close to 2 weeks, I have a excellent credit score & then they told me the monthly costs had gone up from £254 to £343, but as a gesture of goodwill they would look for a alternative car, but it wouldn’t be the make or model that we wanted. They have no complaints department, they have no customer service attitude, in fact they really don’t care. They never told me it could take this amount of time, they never told me there was a chance the car price could increase & now the manager that I have spoken to gloats how they refuse to remove the credit search from my credit file. I wish I had never come across these cow boys, the very worst company I have ever had any dealings with, luckily they are answerable to the Financial Ombudsman, so as Vanarama do not have their own complaints department, mine is now logged with the FO!!

“Vanorama or Panorama?”

Ordered a vehicle - nice n easy process - email received had changed order and price had increased within 5 mins of placing order. Queried it and was told they had pricing problems on the web over the weekend. Tuesday now and no sign of any messages advising customers of the issue just keep taking the orders and increasing the prices. No feedback from them. They removed my order. One thing to have learnt - read reviews first then I would have known that these are nothing but unprofessional. How action by the FCA or Ombudsman has not happened already is a massive surprise. If zero rating was available I would have chosen that instead (or preferably a negative star rating)

“Zero care for customers”

Car ordered delivered was wrong spec. Not possible to retrofit missing options. Contract cancelled, I am now without a vehicle for at least 4 weeks until I can get a new lease vehicle. No compensation offered. Only reimbursed ferry cost for me to collect from mainland (I'm in Belfast). No offer of temp car or cover my costs of gap vehicle. Really disappointed as I am an existing customer at end of one lease and was signed up for a new lease. Needless to say, will not be back. Customer care thrown out years ago, don't go near this crowd

“Terrible Customer Service”

Unfortunately the vehicle we were quoted would arrive within 3-4 weeks didn't. Vanarama's slogan "We'll keep you updated all the way throughout your purchase" is totally incorrect as the only way to be updated is to call or email several times a day, copying in multiple contacts. We were let down on delivery and as you'd expect its everyone else's fault. Customer services called to acknowledge they had received my complaint and I never heard from them again despite emailing for an update as the days passed! Its quite simple if its not going to be delivered in a certain time frame then don't quote it! Very poor, go some where else!

FALSE ADVERTISING, REPORTED TO TRADING STANDARDS ###### Look on the reviews at reviews.co.uk ########## I passed Vanarama a quote I had been given for them to price match (or give me £50 amazon vouchers if they couldnt as per their promise). They never priced matched it and neither did they come good on their promise for the £50 Amazon voucher. They just ignored all future emails and calls!

“CONTRACTORS BE AWARE ”

Vanarama and lex autolease are two companies to avoid like the plague, I have had a one year old van off the road for six weeks due to engine failure and multiple warning lights on, not only have they ignored my emails and calls they have not supplied a replacement vehicle although fault is under warranty but they have continued to take monthly payments they beggar belief and to be frank don't give a to $$ and bounce the problem backwards and forwards between each other. I even had a director laughing down the phone,so professional!!! I'm guessing that's why they sponsored non league as that's there limit. If this company was giving vans away I would run away. BE WARNED BEFORE YOU SIGN THE DOTTED LINE

“Six weeks without van”

One year old Berlingo has three warranty recall faults and no date to fix any of the issues as the parts are not in stock this company should be investigated by trading standards, as a one man band I have had to purchase another vehicle so I can go to work and feed my kids STAY AWAY FROM THEM

“worst company ever”

Sent the wrong van, then tried to blame it on me. I would never have agreed to a 3 seater van as I have 4 kids. From the start I queried if they had the correct information, the assured me they had. The third party company they used to deliver the van said this happens all the time with this company. I've had to pay a cancellation fee as they refuse to take the blame, also a cancellation for my insurance, Despite me booking the van they advertised online, they then say it isn't available? (why advertise it then?) but they have another (more expensive) one available. Disgusting behaviour, never even apologised when I eventually got someone on the phone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I have never given a company a 1* review in my life, but I have never been so disgusted and disappointed with a company. Only after your money and will say anything to get it, stay FAR away from this company if you want to be treated as more than just a number. Great people when they want your money but worst customer service experience after they have it!!!!

Without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. Poor communication and they never did what they said they were going to do. At one point I was being told that the advisor I wanted to talk too was on the phone, and when I asked to speak with a manager I was told that the advisor I had been asking about wasnt even in the office that day. Their 5* customer service pledge is a joke!

“STAY AWAY - WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!”

Warning - this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I called Vanarama looking for a quote after a member of my family who had recently left the trade (not working for this company) recommended them to me. I originally spoke with a man who i can't name who provided me with a quote that was quite high, Vanarama's policy is that if you can provide evidence of a quote that is better than their's and they cannot match it, they will provide you with £50 worth of vouchers. I shopped around for a better deal and found one that was about £30 cheaper per month with a different company. I called Vanarama back and spoke with a different man as the first man was away on annual leave. I informed him I had found a better quote, he requested I forward the better quote to him via email, and he would see if he could match or better the quote and get back to me. I did so, and within 5 minutes I received an email from him with a new written quote that was approximately £80 cheaper than the first quote, and £50 cheaper than the quote I had received from the other company. I realised it was very cheap in comparison to other quotes I had received, and emailed  him back to ask if this quote was for the same model and included the metallic colour I wanted (£300 extra charge) to which he confirmed yes the price is correct for this model and includes my preferred metallic colour. I was obviously pleased with this and called Vanarama back the next day to order my vehicle, I spoke with a third man as the second man was on the other line and the first was still away, he processed the order for me and told me that as it was a Friday evening the credit provider had closed and so they would call me back on Monday morning after hearing whether I had passed on credit or not. Monday came and I received no call from Vanarama, so I called them at about 1pm to ask what the situation was and if we could move forward. I spoke to the first man who had returned from annual leave, he informed me that the quote they had provided to me in writing whilst he was away could no longer go ahead as it was too cheap. He said the best quote they can do was the one they had originally quoted to me, approximately £80 more per month. He  informed me he only has access to 3 funders but his manager has access to 2 more, and she might be able to better his quote so he will call me back before close of play today (Monday). I received no call back, and had to chase him on Tuesday again about 1pm, who informed me his manager was onto it and he will speak to her at 3pm if he hasn't heard back from her, and I would definitely receive a call back before 5.30pm today (Tuesday). Again, I received no call from Vanarama. Wednesday came and I allowed them all day, no call, no email received. Thursday arrived and again I had to chase them, demanding this time to speak with a manager. I spoke with a lady who said she knew of the situation, apologised for how it has been handled and said she would get the first man to come back to me this afternoon with a new quote as she hadn't checked with her providers as of yet (even though he had said on Tuesday that she was checking her providers and I would receive an answer). He did come back to me on Thursday afternoon, only to say that they still haven't checked the other two providers and would come back to me before the end of the day Thursday with an answer as I expressed I needed to get a vehicle ordered as soon as possible. Thursday ended with no answer, Friday came and again I had to chase them, spoke with a lady who answered the phone and was promised a call back from the first man or the manager, but of course I received nothing. When I called again about 5.15pm I was informed I was now speaking with a member of the 'night' team who couldn't handle the case and I need to speak with the 'day' team on Monday when they open. To summarise, this company does not return calls, does not stick to their quotes even after providing them in writing, takes 15 minutes to answer every call and provides a poor level of service all round. I would give 0 stars if I could. STAY AWAY!

“False advertising ”

I highly recommend staying well away from this company. False prices advertised on the website, extremely poor customer service received. I have leased cars for 6 years and have never come across such a substandard company. Only wish I had read reviews before I wasted 4 weeks of my time dealing with this excuse for a lease company.

“False advertising at its best ”

Absolute rubbish- initial advertisement of a vehicle for £360.00 including vat, upon requesting a detailed quote this quickly spiralled to £430 EXCLUDING vat. They are the most expensive of all of the rental companies i have dealt with and simply falsely advertise lower prices only to hike these up when a quote is requested - complete rubbish to deal with, no thanks.

Contacted and requested a quick quote gave them price an other comparisons deals and asked could they compete? £250 and mileage was told they could! Call handler then went on to ask for my contact details then read scripts of auto generated lines to then announce £282! I advised they were most expensive of all the leasing companies- so why say you can beat that quote after obtaining my private number and email! Infuriates me. Most unprofessional service and would not recommend. Most competitive best leasing company we have used is blue chilli. Far most honest and much more efficient. I told call handler he had not listened and wasted 20 minutes.'

I have complained for over a year now to vanarama regarding water egrees to the rear bed of my pick up and have had no satisfaction from Vanarama Basically their customer complaints team have been less than helpful however Very nice! They now want me to come out of my contract and out me into another contract but transfer my outstanding monies from the old to a new contracts Thus there way of dealing with my complaint I haven't been able to use the vehicle for the purpose I bought it for
