This fridge freezer is supplied with an free 8 year parts warranty, frankly its not worth the paper its wrote on. Whirlpool support very poor in my opinion. Fridge/Freezers are in general very reliable this WHIRLPOOL appliance has failed after just 3 years of light use. I contacted Whirlpool support, they would not honour the free parts warranty and offered me two options these were; 1)Pay £85 for a call out followed by the cost of all parts, or 2)Pay £15.99 per month for 10 months (£159.90) for a call out including all parts. Concidering the product cost only £270 when new I did not feel that a repair was value for mont at nearly £160. Hotpoint do a call out including all parts for £74.99. I will be avoiding all Whirlpool products in the future. Ple3ase feel free to check both the Whirlpool and Hotpoint websites for details of their service charges.

Do not buy the ARC7612 fridge freezer or any Whirlpool product. Never worked properly had engineers out constantly and as soon as 12 month warranty was up it has packed up completely. You would expect for £400 it would last more than a year. Just had an independant engineer out and said it would be cheaper to replace it then repair it. Customer services are appalling no help at all. Would never buy another Whirlpool and strongly recommend others to stay away from any of their products.
