Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ6
I bought this camera last Summer to upgrade my previous digital camera. I decided on the TZ6 as I mainly want to take photos rather than videos, though it does have the facility if I want to use it. I would have chosen the TZ7 if I was more "into" taking videos.
I am an amateur and am very impressed with the photos I have taken in the last 7 months - the camera is very easy to use and the battery life is very good. When switching the camera on it is ready to use in seconds, so you can capture shots that you might otherwise miss.
I have some superb photos of my son's wedding, wild birds at my bird feeders, visiting hedghogs in the garden at night - I wouldn't have managed that with my old camera.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this camera at all.
