Mitch Albom, The Five People You Meet in Heaven

The book The Five People You Meet in Heaven is one of my all-time favorite books. My grandma told me to read it. At first I thought that it was going to be a boring book about religion, but after I read the first chapter, I knew that wasn't the case. It is a story about a man that dies, and in heaven he meets five people that he has greatly impacted in the duration of his life. Seeing that this is both me and my grandma's favorite book proves that this is a book for all ages. I love some of the quotes written in the story. Also, it is a relatively easy read, and it is not very long. I would recommend to anyone.

My friend lent me the book and at first I thought I'd struggle through it, a book seemingly about religion didn't appeal to me much. Yet, I decided to read it and was instantly hooked by the opening sentence, paragraph and chapter, all came far to quickly as I slowed to savour every word.

The book is cleverly formatted in sections, each chapter revealing an enticing piece of History about the main character, Eddie's life, while also introducing the present, what he is experiencing.

The representation of heaven is far beyond the norm of St Peters Gate and the novel touches on the meaning of life and that every think in life is linked, something that does touch our emotions and thoughts without being overly deep.

I suggest you buy this book by Mitch Albom, for any reader of any capability and of any age. Do not be put off by the mention of heaven as the book bearly touches religion, save to mention stuff like funerals and weddings.

I couldn't put it down. Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven is definitely in my collection!
