Chimay Rouge Is A True Trappist Brewed Beer, One O
Chimay Rouge is a true Trappist brewed beer, one of only six Trappist breweries in Belgium. The rouge is much more delicate and fruity than the bleue, which makes it easier to drink. The alcohol percentage is lower too at 7% so doesn't fill you up too quickly. The flavour is gentle malts with apricot undertones and a smooth, slightly sweet finish with a hint of bitterness. Very nice and delicious. One of my favourites, out of the 250 or so Belgian beers I've tried.
