Like a lot of Stephen Kings books, The Eyes of the Dragon is superbly written and plotted to draw the reader in. The protagonist known just as "flagg" is an evil wizard whose ultimate goal is to bring about the complete destruction of the kingdom of delain. The plot unfolds in the usual king style with plenty of character development. It was something of a departure from kings usual time settings as most of his books and short stories prior to then had been set in the present tense, but it is no less the book for being so. It a pleasureable read and like all kings fantasy/horror stories thoroughly enjoyable. I found few bad points if any with the book. Overall, it's an excellent blend of sword and sorcery/horror with biblical overtones in places as good a book as any others king has authored.
