With Samsung PS42A457P1D there are no dead pixels, worked straight out of the box. Black, sleak no jazy colours to distract you .No loss of picture around the edges .Easy set up menu for the various settings,I use Movie all the time. The PC connector works,yes the VGA one. So you can watch your computer content on your new TV at last.I bought the tesco basic HDMI cable and HD is marvelous.No longer needed the scart from the Virgin Media box just the HDMI .Freeview was easy to set up. Sound quality is loud enough to immerse yourself in whatever your watching.

Bad points are it could have been packaged better. Unpack with a friend you need someone to drag out the polystyrene while you lift it.On Stand-by 24/7 unless you unplug it.I recommend buying a short extention cable with individual on/off switches(asda are cheapest)The aerial connection is on the left of the TV ,in the middle would have been better.Final bad point? I want it to be BIGGER lol

I spent about a month choosing a plasma tv and what swung it was the review from the Gadget Show .Its huge,if your used to a 20-30 inch TV this is going to blow you away.I gave it 9/10 only because of no Off switch.I kept the contrast setting a little dimmer for eight days as I was advised to do to help it settle in. We bought this from the BT Shop for 499 plus delivery and its worth every penny. So buy it:)
