My motorola t191 phone is absolutly brilliant and very easy to use. It look's good and is a great silvery colour too. The buttons are easy to work and the calls are all clear and txt's are easyly received and sent, it has the internet on it and screensavers which you can download more of it also has good ringtones and roughly about 6 good games. Altogether i'd say it's good value

The Motorola T2288e is a cool mobile phone, perfected for under 18's. Only thing i say is it lacks some items but all together a brill phone!

I got this Motorolla T2288 mobile phone for my 11th birthday a year ago and was thrilled. I love my little phone. It's perfect for getting message off my friends and calling people. It's got all the futions i need. i don't see the big fuss about nokias. so what - you've got more ringtones?! people only hear them for a second and now people think: "oh no, its another nokia". Motorolas are the perfect phones. My T2288e suits all my needs.

Being totally "anti" mobile phones, received this Motorola T2288 as a gift last year, on Orange PAYG. With Outhere, I get five free texts a day but register with orange.net and get 30 a month more. It is also great to get email alerts, sent straight to your phone. I prefer to credit £50 upfront and consequently get cheaper rate calls for my money. I get fed-up with friends comparing it to their Nokia phones, that seem to be taking over the market-place - I have tried using theirs and cannot see what the hype is all about! Don't use WAP much but has performed really well abroad.

It now costs to send text messages on my Motorola T2288 mobile phone. I can't change the cover, can't download ringtones. There's no reception in house or in my yard or on back roads, Motorola phones suck. MOTOROLA NEEDS TO GO BANKRUPT AND QUIT SELLING PHONES BECAUSE THEY ARE GONNA LOSE SOME CUSTOMERS. THEY HAVE MORE BAD POINTS ON ANY OF THESE REVIEWS THAN GOOD POINTS MOTOROLA NEEDS TO GIVE UP!

I don't know anything about the T2288 (that's why I'm here) however, I would say that both the problems this guy mentioned are down to his mobile telco provider not the phone.

I too agree about motorola not being able to download ringtones, tattos. Every other phone is capable why doesn't motorola have something for the T2288?
<br>I am at this stage saving to buy another phone - you think that the t2288 is compatiable with being able to download your different ring tones etc...until you discover that you can't.....MOTOROLA PLEASE GIVE YOUR T2288 CUSTOMERS DOWNLOADs.

i agree dis fone is totally serviceable & works good 4 me. but it would be better to have faceplates, ringtones & screen tats.

I think exactly what Nick says about the provider. The T2288 is perfect for a first phone. It has lasted me a year and a half and it's greatso don't diss it.

This Motorola T2288 is a great little phone - my first mobile phone, with lots of features and WAP access. It's particularly good to use for texting because of the large screen. I can't fault it for value for money even if WAP access is expensive once you've purchased the handset. Unfortunately the t2288 isn't available here any more - I understand in England, it has been superceded by another business class phone - the t250.
Second hand t2288s are expensive here which goes to show I got a real bargain in the first place. I would love another phone just like it. I now have an Alcatel DB max but it hasn't got half the sex appeal of a Motorola.

You can wap download ringtones and change mask on the Motorola T2288 phone. But nobody tells you.

For its price range the Motorola T2288 is a good phone. It offers plenty of facilities (such as WAP) albeit in a rather limited and limiting fashion. There is a (modest) choice of ringtones.
If you want a fashion accessory, then this is not the phone for you. If you want a phone that is cheap and cheerful, then it might be.

The Motorola T2288 phone is alright if you just want a cell fone for every now and then calls but definitely not for someone who likes to have a good cell fone.

The motorola T2288 is a good phone for making simple calls or texting. thats it so for me its great, but if you want more than that then its not the best as it has no games, you can't change the covers, can't get ringtones. no fancy stuff.

After having this mobile phone for a good year, I think that motorola should be made bankrupt. It isn't a very good mobile phone at all, because it lacks features like good ringtones, a ringtone creator, picture messaging, vibrate alert. It is a very basic mobile phone for people that only use their phone very occasionally. The batteries are also a letdown because they don't last 5 days like they say on the advertisment and when ever you make a call, or send a txt message, the battery level goes down to about 1 line. The batteries should be changed

I owned a Nokia 8850 before this phone, considering it was half the price - its fantastic and has double the features!
The flip is excellent, and because it doubles in size when the flip is open you get a fair size screen and good size keys (quite big fingers u c!). Its one of those phones thats so small you will carry it with you all the time without thinking about it! Ignoring the extra functions of the V50 over the 8850 - its better because:-
1) You dont have to lock the keys to make sure you dont make a call, or press any buttons
2) The case stands up better to knocks and drops, the metal of the 8850 seems to look worse after a while - also the screen is protected
3) The 8850 screen is vile - it looks cheap with its white LED's and visible screen edge.
HOWEVER - the WAP is just usable, for some reason mine wont let me scroll down menu's on yahoo (directory search).
The key's feel positive but easily misses presses.
The wap/predictive SMS is slow and will miss key presses if you are too quick.
The predictive text is useless - mainly because its not adaptive, if you often use place names, technical terms when sms'ing then it will drive you insane!
All in all, as phones go, its good for calls and okay for very occasional SMS/WAP.
Oh yes nearly forgot - one major agrivation (and the reason I have got rid of mine above everything else). If you receive an SMS it takes you to a menu of all received messages and will scroll the latest message on a single line (great!), you can change to full screen view by pressing OK twice - BUT - if you dont go to full screen and instead just go to "reply" it sends the message to the sender of the last message you viewed full screen NOT the one you are viewing as a scrolling message - This can be a major embarisment if you ment to send the message to your girlfriend/wife/boyfriend/husband and it actually goes to a work collegue or mistress etc!! Watch that one!
FINALLY - if you receive a message from someone and need to add their number to your phone book - forget it - there is no easy way to add sender to address book - get out your pen and paper!

This is the ideal phone for someone who doesn't want to spend too mech on a phone and the calls. It's packed with features and althought the WAP is a bit slow I can get the information that I need.

I have to say that this phone became faulty after 9 months of use. Never dropped it. Maybe I text too much, the keypad got short-circuited or something. Until now I thought Motorola has the best built quality. I'll try another phone now.

AN AMAZING PHONE. AND WOT A GREAT PRICE. THE WAP IS EASY 2 USE AND THE LIGHT SLEEK MODEL IS WORTH MORE THAN A LOOK. A GREAT BUY ALL ROUND.

This is the only mobile phone I have used so have no benchmark. Therefore some criticisms may apply to all mobiles. OK firstly good points: looks good, decent sized screen, nice & bright when illuminated, wap access.
Bad stuff. Sound quality is dreadful can bearly here incoming audio and also received volume extremely low. battery life not outstanding. Not impressed.

Well, Motorola have certainly got a good cellphone here, but it still has a lot to be desired in the style department. It looks good but it is still a very basic phone. WAP is good, but no clock is such a pain! Why didnt motorola have a clock inbuilt? Most of the good phones these days have one. Games would have been good too, i mean such a good phone, with WAP should at least have "snake" or something. This phone is excellent value for money for someone on a budget. O.K maybe it hasn't got all the "bells and whisles" of the posh Nokia phones, but hey, who needs all that anyway? Ok the nokias have downloadable screens savers etc but all that(Which you don't look at anyway, coz your phones probably in your pocket) has to be using up battery life, the more stuff on the display the less battery standby time u will have. I recommend this cellphone to anyone who wants all the latest technology at a good price. It only cost me $100 with $50 free calls!I mean hey it will probably last longer than the nokias anyway!:-)
