“Terrible customer service...Avoid if you care about...”

I would not recommend Meteor Meet and Greet services to anyone who cares about his/her car. I have used them twice in Stansted airport this year: the first time the driver arrive 45 mn late and I had to wait in the cold snow without an apology. The 2nd time was much worst....the driver was 1 hour late and gave me back my car damaged: he had hit a curb on the way to the airport and completely damaged one tire + wheel. I understand this can happened to anyone and went the next day to change the wheel at my local VW dealer. My car is an imported Golf from Italy and the wheels were different than the ones sold in the UK...I had to change the entire 4 set of wheels (600 pounds). I explained to Meteor Customer Service the situation but they reimbursed me only one wheel and even made me pay for the parking service... the total cost for parking my car that weekend costs me 650 pounds! I don't call that a great customer service experience...

“Wouldn't Answer Phone!”

Meteor Meet & Greet We arrived back to Stansted and followed the instructions given on our departure. I called the fist number given which just rang and rang until ringing out. I then tried the next 2 emergency numbers and left a message on one and the other had a message to say 'no answer'I continued to call for 30 minutes. In the meantime, my husband walked to the car park to see if he could find our car. While he was gone, somebody eventually answered the phone with no concern for our situation. He said they were very busy, asked me what car it was and said he would be ouside in 10 minutes. 25 minutes later, a female turned up in the car and was having trouble parking so we gave up and walked in the road to meet her. She acted like nothing was amiss and after we questioned what was going on - 'we were going to call the police', she walked off laughing! We phoned at 2345 and got our car back at 0045 - disgraceful (it also had mud on the interior, including the door, which had obviousy been opened with a shoe) They had clearly overbooked, but did not have the courtesy to answer the phone and explain that there was a delay. Not impressed at all.

“Waiting for car to be returned for 43 minutes!”

Pre-booked meet and greet parking as we had a very early flight departure and a late return thinking this would be the best option to save time. It was approx the same cost as the mid stay so seemed reasonable for saving ~20 minutes of time each direction. No problems on drop off, although they were clearly busy and picking up a number of cars so this is why I gave them more than the 1 star. However, on our return we called, as requested, once we had our bags having been told they were 5 minutes away. The man on the other end of the phone informed us we would actually need to wait about 20 minutes (I was there thinking it would have taken about the same amount of time to get my car out of the mid stay car park by that time). As it was 20 minutes we wandered slowly out of the terminal towards the pick up point. 25 minutes after we first called, we called again for an update (wondering if maybe we had gone to the wrong point) we were informed that the driver had not yet left with our car! The next phone call from our number was ignored by them and eventually a slightly apologetic man turned up with our car. The only reason to book the meet and greet service is to save time and at 1am, waiting 43 minutes in the cold when you've just arrived back from holiday is not acceptable. Please don't use them, it's not worth it...save time and money and use one of the official car parks!!

“Avoid at all costs!”

Just returned from holiday to Egypt and used these cowboys. On departure we had to wait 20 mins outside the airport having called 20 mins before arriving as requested to. When the driver did turn up there was no apology. This was mainly due the the fact he couldnt speak very good English! Luckily the traffic warden was symapthetic and didnt give us a ticket. He did tell us where the vehicle was kept. In a field behind the BP petrol station at Stansted. Only 2 minutes drive away! The Companies website states that the car park is secure, has CCTV and is manned. They also state that they have a Park Mark award. This award is ratified by the police! I checked with the British Parking Association who told me that there was so such award for this car park!. On our return our car was return promptly, however, it very dirty. The wheels were very muddy and there was muddy footprints in the front and back. The driver who returned the car said that it must have been like that when we dropped it off. I had only just had a valet done 2 days before my trip and even showed him the receipt I had in my wallet. He shrugged his shoulders and said he couldnt help any further. I then left but decided to see where the car was parked and sure enough behind the BP station, next to a building site is a field with cars parked. There is no fencing'lighting or CCTV. Its disgraceful that a national company like Meteor can get away with this. I thought booking with them would be fine rather than a small independent you see on Watchdog! I will certainly let Anne Robinson know about these jokers. Paying a bit extra doesnt always guarantee you get the best value.

“faultless service. Man was waiting for us when we got...”

faultless service. Man was waiting for us when we got to drop off and the car was ready for us when we cleared baggage control. Definiatley will use these guys again.
