Brilliant Piece Of Kit. Got The 4gb Version And Th

Brilliant piece of kit. Got the 4GB version and the sound is fantastic, battery life is very good (got over 8 hrs playing time), very compact and easy to use. Had an ipod nano which is also good but walkman is value for money and I use it more since the sound is better and its more compact. Tiny negative is the volume won't go too high but getting a good headphone helped. I rarely give good reviews being a miserably old sod but credit where its due.

Wow! This Is One Durable Piece Of Kit.

wow! this is one durable piece of kit.

i have had mine 6 months now and i have used it many many times. the earphones deserve a special mention, they are virtually indestructible and it has a pretty good microphone too.

on top of looking fairly cool and being easy to use this has to have been one of the best bargains i have ever bought.

I Started Searching For A Good Mp3 Player About A

I started searching for a good MP3 player about a year ago, and I'm pleased to say that this is easily my favourite MP3 player I've used.

The MP3 player is a piece of cake to add music to - all you need to do is copy and paste music using Explorer, or apparently you can sync music using Windows Media Player. (I use WinAmp though, so I haven't synced through WMP.) Plus, while you're copying music, the NWZ is charging - yes, it has a USB connection for ease of use.

The battery life is brilliant - charge it for an hour and you've got close to 15 hours - perfect for holidays.

The headphones supplied are also brilliant - they play perfectly at full volume, which is very nice.

There are a number of presets, or you can make your own using custom equaliser. There is also a handy "bass" button, which instantly amplifies the bass, making for a pretty cool effect. There are also some LEDs which flash in time to the music. It's very nice eye candy.

Add to all this the sleek look and the light weight, and it's a powerful piece of hardware.

The only problem is the very small capacity - I can only fit about 20 MP3 albums on it (320 kbps). However, you can easily fit more on by reducing the bit rate.

So, if you're thinking of buying this MP3 player, I fully recommend you buy this one (for under £35!). All in all, one of the best MP3 players out there.

I Remember My First Walkman - A Little Portable Ca

I remember my first Walkman - a little portable cassette deck with which I used to walk miles. This Walkman, as you may imagine, leaves the old cassette player standing.

The sound reproduction of the Sony NWZ-B135 2GB is wonderful; a customizable equalizer and volume that could blow the ears of even the most ardent rave-goer (ok - showing my age here!). The interface is easy to use and takes only a few minutes to master. Synch it with Windows Media Player and even the simple task of dragging and dropping with Windows Explorer becomes even easier.

The track listing on the LCD display could be better; only the first few letters of the highlighted track are shown so you either have to play it or know it. Having said that I'm a simple guy who tends to play each album one by one and whether in shuffle, repeat or straight play mode it's a cinch to navigate.

Wicked little LCD around the navigation button that lights up with the beat of the track when in Base Boost mode. Why does that appeal? Dunno - it just adds a little more life and the bass is well pronounced and drives beautifully through the in-pack earphones.

My Walkman is my company on an hour's walk to work and back and for under £40 it's an excellent purchase and worth every penny. Playing blues, rock, pop or country (yeah I do...sorry!) the reproduction is excellent, clear and if all you need is music from such a tiny unit then I can't recommend it more. I've had mp3 players...this is the first one that I can say is a quality mp3 player.
