Hotel Hemera was excellent and I would definitely go back. No bad points at all. Excellent!!

I like the variation of the food in the Restaurant, it was never the same breakfast and dinner, some new dishes every day. Most other hotels always have same all dishes every day. The service was absolutely on top! I liked the nearness to the sea and that you have everything you want in the hotel area so if you wanted you can stay there and have a real good time and just relax and eat good food. A very good hotel, with nice and service-minded personnel, worth a visit.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment at Hotel Hemera, so cannot comment on hotel rooms, but the apartment was 1st class, maid service everyday to change towels and covers. mini bar (soft drinks) replenished each day and even the safe was free of charge. Hotel staff first class and animation team were brilliant. Food covered every taste and very fresh. Every part of this holiday was excellent, have booked for next year

Side, Hotel Hemera - Having been to different parts of Turkey, I found that Side was the worst place I had visited. If you are going on holiday to Turkey for the first time, Side will not give you the full pleasure that Turkish holidays can give you.

I totally disagree with this review. I went to the hotel Hemera in 2004 and it was the best holiday I've ever had. The staff were lovely and couldn’t have done enough for you.
There were plenty of activities for every one of all ages and you could never get bored!!!
I strongly recommend this hotel as it was excellent.
We felt it was so good there that we have already booked to go back next year!!!

Hotel Hemera in Side was overall it was the best holiday ever and we are planning to go back at the beginning of October, when the weather is still hot.!!!

This hotel does treat english people like 2nd class citizans put into the most horrible rooms on the complex/on the road or in the dungeon/very rude staff who spoke no english. Would never return .

Sorry but you must have been staying in a different hotel to me! I've been 3 times and going back this year for another visit! We have always had lovely rooms and if you're not happy with what you're given, complain, they always try their best to rectify matters. I will agree that the staff on reception can be a little bit difficult at times, but I think it's just a culture differance.

If you want places that speak English, holiday in england ...

I have read the details written by Sarah Parker and totally disagree with everything entered. I am a travel agent and have stayed at the Hemera last year, Oct 2004 and am going again Oct 2005. I have booked in all over 60 customers to the Hemera who have enjoyed it fully. The staff are very friendly and speak some English, the rooms are very good and clean and the food serves all tastes. The service at all times was very good -There is a towel service at the pool, the all inclusive package is excellent and well worth the 4 star rating awarded by all tour operators who use this accommodation. The location of the hotel is directly on the beach and within easy reach of the town centre with all it's history and shops etc.
I highly recommend this hotel to all of my customers, who all come back with great reviews.

We went to the Hemera on the 12 November and the weather was hot but bearable. We came home with a really good tan. The beach is brilliant and you can either just laze about or play games, take the canoes or pedalos out etc. You can eat either buffet style, which is out of this world, or a la carte, a fish restaurant and a turkish restaurant...beware the waiters will top up your glass as soon as you've drunk any! The rooms were spotless...the maid came in every day and the fridge was replenished with soft drinks and water too. Pure luxury as far as i'm concerned!

Was it your first time to Turkey? Never met a Turk. who wasn't prepared to help, certainly never rude. Find it hard to believe.

Cannot understand sara's comments. We went in October 02 & have booked to go again this October absolutely brilliant holiday spot.

We initially got offered a bad room but refused it and were given a super room 602 I think.

Sara should learn to complain. Cannot work out how she never enjoyed it. First time abroad maybe?

I have been to Hemera Hotel in November 2001 - the hotel was great - staff was more than helpful and very friendly - food was marvelous - beach was a dream - only thing negative, we had 5 days rain - but we made the best of it -> a littel bay boy born in July 2002 - named Robert (if we were the Beckhams his name might be "Hemera")

My family and I stayed at the Hemera Hotel in Side (pronounced sea-day) for a week in April 2002 and believe me a week really wasn't enough, we wanted to stay forever!
When we arrived it was like a living fantasy. You walk into the large vestibule/bar-lounge, and through at the other side of the hall are some patio doors. These lead to a large balcony revealing views of the the beautiful gardens (these hit you with the strong scent of orange trees) and the large attractive swimming pools. It really was an eye opener (especially after a 4 1/2 hour long flight!)
We started to wheel our suit cases to our apartment when we heard the staff calling us and insisting that they take our luggage for us! First impressions of the staff were very good!
First of all, the food was absolutely delicious, as with the drink, and there was a different featured meal every day of the week. The food is all buffet style which means you can serve yourself and the childrens meals are fantastic. There is a wide range of foods and even a section for vegetarians. If you take a look at the website you will see the wide range of food available.
The staff were the highlight of our holiday, and we were so impressed with their service. They bent over as far back as possible to do as much as they could for us. The were so welcoming and helpful!
There were so many facilities and activities to do in the hotel, that you couldn't try out each one within a week! They were all excellent.
The gardens, which i have already mentioned are so beautiful, with the wonderful scent of orange trees wafting here and there. It is so beautiful.
The shopping squares are literally 2 minutes away by foot and are all very good value for money. Alternatively you could take a 20 minute stroll down the sandy beach to the village of Side where there are also some great cafe's and shops.
Well what i have mentioned here is not the half of how fantastic this hotel is and i would go on but it wouldn't fit on this page.
I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really recommend this hotel to anybody and we are definitely going to visit again. We will NEVER forget it!

I totally agree!
And we have (so far) been at this wonderful place
4 times, may it be 40 times more!

Arrived back in the uk 20.1.04, my son(5 years old) and i have just come back from a 1 weeks holiday staying at the Hemera, the staff were all very friendly and very helpful, and we enjoyed ourselves very much that im trying to book for later in the year, if you don't like being hassled outside the hotel i found saying no and walking off worked. Overall comments for the Hemera excellent, but then no two people choices and expectations are the same. I have no hesitation in going back

Agree wholeheartedly with everything said before, this is one of the best hotels we've been to. Booked again for our 4th visit this year, cannot recommend too highly!

I cannot speak too highly of the Hemera Hotel, visited last November, 2002 and am going back again March 2004. Hotel, food, drink, service all A1. I agree with the comments about the cafe owners, but they are friendly so it is not too much of a problem

Absolutely correct. Visited last year and returning in a weeks time. Best ever holiday.
