Went to Portugal booking direct with Aldi. Everything went like clockwork. Could not fault it at all. Hotel, flights and transfers, all excellent value for money.
Only grumble now is, want to book again with them but what has happened to www.Alditravel - All I can get now are linked sites.

We went to Majorca for a week through Aldi travel and it was fantastic! Not the most modern of hotels but it was clean, the food was great and the entertainment was really good. It was a 3 star hotel, however I would have put it at 4 star. The flights were spot on with no delays and on the whole I'd say 9 out of 10 for the whole experience.

went to sharm in egypt in july 10 to sultan gardens aldi advertised as 5 star more like 3 star dirty room, hole in bath, camp beds for kids in studio room, dirty pool and caught cleaner looking though our bags on first day! bad hotel should be able to trust star rating off your holiday company

My wife and I have just returned from Crete booked thru Aldi Travel. This is the second holiday with the company and we can't fault the sevice or attention given. Indeed my wife had omitted to request airport transfer but when she phoned to check some details the staff noticed this and and it was sorted. We honestly can't speak highly enough of the Agency and tell all our friends to use Aldi Travel - including the staff at our local Aldi Supermarket!

Booked a holiday through Aldi travel last September, no longer trading as same company, they did not inform us of changes to our flight correctly. Due to fly out on April 17th but did not due to volcanic ash. Only just had the accomodation cost refunded, I am still waiting for them to give me the flight money from Easy jet for 6 people. They do not answer any of my emails, absolutely atrocious service.

Booked holiday to sharm, arrived at airport to be informed flight had closed and we had missed it. Aldi had sent us flight times that were 20 minutes later than the actual time. We had to transfer our flights (next one was the following day and at a diffrent airport). We lost a whole day of our holiday. It may be cheap but its not worth it, wouldn't suggest this travel group, perhaps a good job they no longer provide holidays?

This was the first time I had booked a full holiday through the net. I was very impressed everything went like clockwork could not find anything wrong at all. when we landed at paphos airport we had to look for our name being posted I expected having to search and ask people but there it was, we had to wait about 5 minutes for the taxi to arrive but their rep kept us well amused. The hotel was small and friendly and very clean towels etc. changed daily. The return taxi trip was spot on time. The experience gave me confidence to book with Aldi Travel again and not be shy about booking online again. I wish I had known it was so easy and dependable before.

I have to say that we have just come back from a weeks stay in Egypt - we booked through Aldi Travel in October - it was really striaght forward and easy. I emailed a query about a week before we went re the transfers and they replied immediately.

The reps were there to transfer us to the hotel and give us details of when and where to see the rep.

I have to say that I cannot fault them and would have booked another holiday through them without any second thoughts.

what can we say about aldi travel ,,,well for 12 years myself and up 20 odd friends have had holidays together and always been able to sort any problems so on boxing day just passed we were all flying to sharm in egypt booked flights ,transfers hotels all through aldi yet when flyglobespan went burst a week before our holiday it turns out we havent got a package holiday as were led to beleive in fact they tell us nothing ,,only to contact our supplier failure insurance that wedidnt even know we had which is in fact not legal to add in unless you ask for it,,,,anyway aldi travel did nothing so please pay a bit extra and get a company who care were still fighting for money back and could take months stay away is good advice its a disgrace they wouldnt even talk to us properly and dont care,,personally thats my opinion thanks

Aldi Travel....Don't bother, kept us waiting for our tickets right up until the last week we were travelling (also sent them out 2nd class) Seems Aldi cannot shake off the cheap and nasty tag. Even the telephone operators were unprofessional and not interested (they answered the phone with Hello, I had to ask if this was Aldi travel i was speaking to..Aldi Travel don't bother.

Booked 2 holidays with 2 different companies 118 Travel via teletext and Aldi Travel. Both had flights with Globespan. 118 Travel said they would take care of all reimbursements via insurance cover (BOTH have this cover) and we had no hassle from 118 Travel.
Aldi washed their hands off the Globespan issue stating thsat they could not make a claim on our behalf ! how come 118 Travel can then ???
We manged to get different flights but Aldi are incapable of making any correct changes to the taxi service having had to Email them on various occasions with the time change request. It is STILL not rectified. They are totally useless and I will NEVER book though them again and I recommend you choose any other holiday provider and not use Aldi !

My wife and I booked our trip with Aldi to Sharm el-Sheikh. We were promised that their rep will meet us there and will transfer us to Hotel and back to the airport. Their MTS rep was never to be seen and we had to hire a taxi to the airport. We waisted 2 full days trying to find their rep in Egypt, but to no avail. When we arrived back Aldi customer service were as bad as their rep in Egypt. They offered no apology and showed no sympathy towards us.

I booked with aldi in march and stayed at the aguamar apartments in tenerife, as soon as my wife made the holiday she got an email with all our vouchers on, we don't have a printer so aldi posted them out straight away. We had a fantastic time, the website was straight forward and easy to use. We've already booked next years holiday with them.

Be VERY careful with Aldi Travel website. I went through the online booking process, and after putting my credit card details in, it asked me if I wanted to book flights as well. Flights??! I thought they were included at that price (I'd just been looking at other websites where the package included flights, for a not dissimilar total price). Despite me emailing (and trying to phone) immediately to say I had made a mistake and didn't want to book this, I got an email the next day, saying that if I agreed, they would refund me minus £25, by posting a cheque! So now I had to worry about booking with another company, with a large sum already taken off my card. Worse still, when the cheque arrived, they had taken £50, claiming it was £25 cancellation plus £25 non-refundable credit card fee when booking. This was not mentioned in their original email.

I booked a 10 day holiday in Praia Da Rocha (Hotel Jupiter)in June through aldi travel, the whole experience from start to finish was excellent. The web site is easy to use and my booking was handled very efficiently and speedily with all the relevant documents available to print off.

The resort transfers were good and the hotel itself well worth the 4 star rating. I will certainly book my next holiday through Aldi as they were as if not more efficient that specialist travel companies.

Dreadful. Aldi Travel advertised a holiday, including flights which all sounded and looked pretty good. However when they came to book it, the flights were not as they had advertised. They wanted a further £1,200 from us and thought it was quite acceptable to do this. They then took a day and a half to try find us another flight, even though there was only one other possibility from the airport we chose. We complained to them and their customer service was absolutely abysmal, the operator was rude and unhelpful and just said it was that that price or cancel. Of course we cancelled and I will never use them again. The website was easy to use but that's a bit pointless when the information they advertise is incorrect.

Can't praise Aldi Travel enough and have recommended them to all our friends. Booked the holiday to Praia De Roche (hotel Jupiter May 2009) and was a bit worried as I was booking for 8 of us (all adults). Booked online printed all our documents, tickets, hotel vouchers & tranfer vouchers. Everything ran smoothly. We had our own mini bus transfer, no waiting for a coach to fill up and then drop off just straight to the hotel. Coming home we had a 52 seater coach with just 2 more extra people on it and no pick ups just straight to the airport. There wasnt any hassle at all and we loved every minute of it. Will certainly book with Aldi Travel again.
