The finish on this guitar was superb and I cannot fault it - I own and have played other Epiphone SG's, and have alos played several Gibbo SG's but I really can't fault the finish. Playability is superb - the neck is a real joy. I have reasonably large hands but just felt that the neck was made to be played!
Body weight is noticably more than the standard Epiphone SG's so obviously a denser wood being used here. The whole body and neck is finished in alpine white, with gold hardware - a real eye-cather and the ladies love it!!
Tuning has remained spot on even with regular use of the vibrola, and the nut slots are very well cut with no snagging.
As with all triple pick up guitars, the middle pick up can get in the way a bit but it's not a big issue for me. Apart from that, other bad points.......what bad points????
An excellent all round guitar and a real looker - don't think you can get them new any more as they were a limited run re-issue, but there will no doubt be a few second hand ones knocking around in the course of time, so would I buy one again? Damn right!
