Maintenance Costs
Owned car since new full service history not all by Nissan. First MOT was given advisory that Discs lipped and would need replacing mileage 21,000. First car I have ever owned that the Pads outlived the Discs. Contacted dealer who stated not covered by warranty, asked if there were harder discs he stated no they are all soft metal nowadays. Had discs and pads replaced by local garage. Contacted Nissan UK they contacted dealer who stated that car had not been maintained by them and that disc wear can be caused by external factors. Strange thing is a friend has the same vehicle in petrol fully maintained by Nissan has the same problem. Buyer beware its expensive to have discs replaced every 20,000 miles (about £300:00) from Nissan. Heavy tyre wear average life on front 19,000. This is subjective as each driver drives differently but friend has same problem on petrol. Garages say that is normal for modern vehicles.
