Amalfi, Miramalfi Hotel

Chose hotel for location after seeing this from a boat trip last year. Booked delux sea view room, view was wonderful, room ok, clean and pleasant but very simple, could not really describe as delux. Swimming pool, sunbed area and snack bar were excellent. Breakfast included which was ok but lacked imagination and food choices never changed. Did not eat in the restaurant so unable to comment.

Main grumble.....as mentioned previously upgraded to delux sea view room, first morning woken at 6.30 by footsteps and scraping of chairs above our heads. We were directly below the restaurant and so woke to this every morning (fortunately we do tend to wake early on holiday) but recommend avoid if you like a lie in. In addition there was a wedding on Saturday until 12mn and a party all day and early evening Sunday, again all going on directly above our heads. There was no information given to us about this and cannot believe hotel do not consider these things when allocating rooms.

Had a lovely holiday as beautiful area but feel let down as hotel did not live up to expectations
