“Wow! What an amazing hotel! we have been fortunate...”

Wow! What an amazing hotel! we have been fortunate enough to stay in some amazing hotels over the years, all over the world, but this hotel takes opulence to a whole new level. More tasteful than the Versace hotels, but still a tad over the top in places, it's an experience from start to finish. The lobby cannot be given justice by photos as the pure scale of the hotel is usually not to be seen outside of las Vegas. If you look it up on the internet you will only get an inkling of the standard of the hotel.

Even if you aren't able to stay, at least experience their dinner buffet. The breakfast buffet is good & has a wide variety of choices, but it's nowhere near the choice & standard of the dinner buffet. There are complete stations with sushi, seafood, Indian, Indonesian, and an amazing choice of desserts. And the prices are very reasonable by international standards - we're a family of 5 (2 adults, 1 fourteen year old, an eight year old and a 2 year old) and we could have dinner there for less than AU$120!

The rooms are very spacious, with a full lounge, desk and plenty of floor space. The bathrooms are well appointed in marble & the amenities are very nice.

We hired a car and driver for the day to go to the safari park in Bogor & were given a uniformed driver complete with white gloves, and a huge 9 seater very nice four wheel drive for only US$160 for the day including water, tolls, tip, etc. It was well worth it as we needed room for the kids and weren't wanting to drive on those roads ourselves!

The gym is great, there are numerous tennis courts, the pool is huge (albeit plain compared to the rest of the hotel) and there's a kiddy pool, too. We had a peek at the amazing ballroom where the chandeliers were being taken down for polishing, and once again the scale was amazing. They also have a reputedly amazing Japanese restaurant which lloks beautiful, thou we didn't try it. the bakery has fabulous chocolate croissants and other danishes if you don't feel like going out for breakfast. We also found that no matter when we left the room it was made up when we got back, on several occasions that occurred just whilst we had breakfast.

Overall, we were very impressed with the hotel and would recommend it to anyone seeking an opulent hotel with fabulous, reasonably priced food.

The location is fairly central, though there's not much within walking distance.
