loved Text Reminders...great way to send myself and friends reminders on bday and special events or any other kind of alarm. Fantastic support! highly recommend it. Only thing i would change is to be able to import events from ical, otherwise it does exactly what I need it to.

It really is an excellent site for sending messages to yourself or friends. It's free to use and no ads, so that's nice. If' you're just looking to send a quick text message to a friend, it'll do the trick, but I think it's more geared towards people who want to remind themselves of things, or share information with friends.
