had and got rid of 9 bikes, Last was a 2004 Aprilia Atlantic 500 scoot, Owned it for 2 mos. A pain to change oil, Parts are so hard to find, nice scoot but a White elephant, Tried out a 2008 Burger 400, I am 6 ft 4 in 200 lbs, Traded Mr. Made Aprilia on it, Best choice I ever made, Rode the Burger 11-10-12 on a 250 miles ride with the club, S.O.S Seniors on Scooters, Located in Richmond, In all great people, 66 MPG, 70-75 MPH with ease, Love it wish I rode one a long time ago, Nice comfortable ride, I had a Silver Wing 600 nice fast scoot but top heavy, So my Burger is a keeper.

“ I decided to buy the Burgman because of the ABS, and...”

I decided to buy the Burgman because of the ABS, and because of the added Extras on the Limited edition.

It is a great deal more expensive than a discounted "normal" 400, and the extras do not warrant the extra £700, however I really wanted ABS so paid the price.

I am very impressed with the fit and finish of the bike, the after sales service, and the fact that we "owners" have a dedicated, well run, and informative website.

I would like a little more power, but my licence does not allow that for two years, after which I may "trade up" but the 400 Burgie is, in my opinion, the best looking Maxi Scooter currently produced, and I love it to bits.

I am nearly a senior citizen, I appreciate the comfort, generous storage, and reasonable running costs of the bike, I have no hesitation in recommending the bike, and expect that the 2010 or 2011 model will have ABS as standard in order to compete with the 400 Majesty, its natural rival.

Buy it, you won't be sorry.

I found this review very helpful because...I am at the advanced age of 88 years
<br/>and have owned many bikes during my lifetime. I was riding a 200cc Burgman but fancied riding a bike with ABS. My first impressions are that the 400Z meets all my requirements especially the higher windscreen and I expect the ABS will give me extra safety, time will tell. I ride most days so I will give more comments in due cause.

wise choice the burgers in my book are the best scoots out there rode a 650 burger and man would it fly one bad thing about the 650 is the rear tire needs replaced in about 3-4000 miles hear it was the way the clutch operates , I like my 400 Burger, Was going to buy a Givi Top box, After doing a lot of on line shopping and reading on the burgman links, Why pay high dollar for a box with the name and same plastic, so one rider says got to JC Whitney and I did, Bought a box that holds 2 helmets for uner 50.00 W/ Shipping so that what I bought,

ABS has got to be such a welcome addition. I have a K8 2008 model bought new and have been off it several times locking the ridiculously over braked front wheel up in the wet. Apart from the barmy twin discs on a machine where probably 70% of the weight is over the back wheel the Burgman 400 is an absolute super machine and I'll be out after a replacement now I know the ABS is available.
