The location is superb looking out onto Lymington River with views of The Solent. The old house is great for weddings with large rooms and nice locations for photos. It's a strange place as it's part hotel, part timeshare and part leisure centre. The leisure centre when built in the 90s was the best in the area and it still holds its own with a good gym and nice swimming pool. There's also an outdoor pool that gets very busy in the Summer with guests and the large local membership. There is a bar which serves food in the leisure centre which is what you would expect from a theme pub. There is also a nicer restaurant in the main house which serves good 3/4 star hotel level food. With its mix of clientele between the timeshare and other guests it doesn't feel as exclusive as a country house hotel can. With the leisure facilities open to local membership there are always a lot of people coming and going and, for some, this may appeal. Great location, very good leisure facilities and plenty of fun.
