The Toshiba 37xv555db Sets Itself Up At The Push O
The Toshiba 37XV555DB sets itself up at the push of a button (for Digital anyway) you may have to move some channels about for analogue but its very easy.Pictures great for both tv and dvd. Dont just use the out of the box settings as with a bit of messing around you can get a way better picture (theres settings advice in the Customer Discussions below. I found these very helpful. Some say the sounds not great. I have it in a small room and I think it does a good job and fills the room (again with the settings tweeked) PS3 looks amazing (even with a cheap HDMI lead) I really do mean jaw dropping amazing. Games look great and Dark Knight (on Blue Ray)is fantastic.
I did get some ghosting on some DVD's. This seems only to be on old TV series dvds there was a fair bit of ghosting and colours (mainly green) flashing up. This could be to do with the quality of the dvd/program recording or the fact that I'm using a cheap scart lead. something I want to sort out.2. Remote seems a little slow to respond and has to be pointed right at the tv.

Overall The Toshiba 37xv555db Is A Brilliant Buy,
Overall the Toshiba 37XV555DB is a brilliant buy, I was to choose between LG and Toshiba and I'm glad I've made the right choice. Apart from the less stylish design, of which I'm not complaining at all but I have friends who do, I think this is the best TV in it's class.
I haven't mentioned the freeview tuner in the good points coz it's pretty common this days but I have to say it does a really good job with the picture, the quality being notably superior then of a standard freeview box.
So if u'r a gamer (there is a preset "GAME MODE" for picture enhancement so u can squeeze the most out of your XB360 or PS3) or you watch high definition movies ( BLUE-RAY or the discontinued HD-DVD) or u wanna hook up your PC on it (it features a PC mode) or all of the free u won't be disappointed with this LCD.
On the other hand if you want a TV only for freeview and DVD playback I suggest you focus on the 720p HD Ready class. That is the highest resolution that will be broadcasted in the near future.
