Inherited This Set And Am Totally Unimpresed By It

Inherited this set and am totally unimpresed by it.

OK picture (certainly not as good as Panasonic's LCDs)

Poor sound

Lousy EPG - there is no way of getting now/next with one key press unlike the cheap Argos 'own brand' PVR we've also got.

Poor usability - some of the settings really are difficult to find.

As it was inherited at least I didn't spend my own money on it.

Only good thing is as it was bought from John Lewis it has a 5 year guarantee.

I Bought My Sony Bravia From M&s With A Five Year

I bought my Sony Bravia from M&S with a five year guarantee

on the internet with free delivery . Took a day to arrive, set up

was easy, with a bit of tweaking with the factory settings of the contrast and colours etc I found the picture and sound to be

better than I expected for the price, connected to my audio

system the sound is amazing. I found the picture quality was

better when watching a digital programme rather than analogue.

We Love The Sony Kdl32v4000. Beautiful Picture Qua

We love the Sony KDL32V4000. Beautiful picture quality & colours. Have had no problems with motion blur at all. As usual from Sony, Fantastic sound. We have a small lounge room so this tv is perfect . (Don't like the idea of these huge screens that everyone has to have, taking over the whole room). Sensational sound, beautiful picture & great viewing angles.

This Replaced An 28 Inch Panasonic 100hz Tube Tv T

This replaced an 28 inch Panasonic 100hz tube tv that still had a good picture. Got an incredibly good deal from John Lewis (includes the 5 year guarantee).Mounted on the wall, it takes up very little room and with the wall bracket only sticks out about 20cm. Picture quality awesome. I only have freeview and have connected a freeview DVR via scart and the image is very very good. Connected a Wii via the composite cables and this is where the TV really comes through. Now considering a PS3 JUST because of high def gaming. Blacks are black, contrast very good and I particularly like the 'theatre' setting which adjusts contrast and the audio (I think) if you were watching it with all the lights out. Its a gimmick but a useful one. A very nice design and very functional. I would highly recommend this Sony TV to all who need a 32" and no more.

Sony's kdl40v4000 is low spec tv at a high price for a poor product

The only good point is that the colours are excellent black is black good on whites.

Poor picture quality blurred very dark not much contrast .

I spent about an hour sampling this product and I was amazed at it's poor performance.

This Gem Of A Tv I Purchased In Boxing Day Sale Fo

This gem of a TV I purchased in Boxing day sale for £342 from Argos. For the price this tv is amazing, pity the sony technicians who one day will have to improve it.

I have it connected to a sky + box and a PS3. With the sky box things are really very good. Good sound and picture. Some reviews have criticized a degree of motion blur with fast moving objects. Hand on heart I can't say it is a problem. I have just been enjoying a game of volleyball; no problem for this little telly.

Very occasionally when the image is moving fast one can notice a degree of blockiness to the image; but it is not really an issue. To overcome this requires buying a much pricier TV.

Connected to the PS3 though this thing really comes alive. Games look fab. I was pleased that even playing an ordinary DVD in the PS3 produced an excellent image.

After watching a movie like this I was disappointed that real life suddenly looked less vivid....time to get my eyes checked.

Black are reproduced very well, and colours are bright. Sound is crisp and clear; with good base for a TV.

Don't buy this if either you want an bigger screen or if your kids are telly addicts. This would be like purifying their drug!I would recommend this TV.
