I Dropped My Car Off At Kwick Fit In Colindale For

I dropped my car off at Kwick fit in Colindale for an MOT to come back to a dismantled car and a £460 price tag for work the car clearly did not need as it had been extensively serviced and all tyres replaced less than a month earlier. I refused to pay for any work but unfortunately had to pay for the failed MOT which I did and left.

The following day I took the car to my local garage dreading what the mechanic there may find even though I was confident that it would not be anywhere near the £460 quoted by Kwick Fit but to my delight I only had one phone call asking me to collect the car which had passed its MOT with flying colours - not even a note of things to keep an eye on.

I emailed Kwick Fit to complain and had a call from their head office area manager. He was very abrupt and short on the phone and told me to complain to the MOT governing body if I wasn't happy with the service this clearly showed where his priority laid which was not with his customers in my opinion. I will never again use Kwick Fit for anything!

Took My Partner's Car To Kwik-fit As Broke Down Ne

Took my partner's car to Kwik-Fit as broke down near there on the way to work. It was an exhaust problem. I was told that the CAT needed to be changed as well as two tyres. Turned out that a screw got sheered off from the front exhaust manifold causing a rattle in the gearbox and of course the exhaust still blowing. I saw a manager from the and I was advised that I wouldn't get the money back that I had asked for. I wanted another garage to try and make good on the faulty workmanship and he signed a note with a caveat that the cost should not exceed £100. £108 later and the screw could not be removed. I wrote to Kwik-Fit and recently I got all of my money back (apart from the two tyres). This amounted to £340.20 for the CAT which I most likely did not need, since they didn't run any emissions tests anyway and told me it looked corroded on the outside, the exhausts parts & labour and the VAT.

The car is now back at my village garage and is in to have the gear box dropped to try and fix this issue once and for all, I'm not sure how much it will cost but we've only been able to afford to get it done since Kwik-Fit have sent that cheque! Still out of pocket but very glad I have continued to pursue the matter.
