Kwik Fit, Hanley, Stoke on Trent

Had a new battery fitted to my Mini Countryman on 22-10-24, spoke to an advisor the day before, he was so helpfull and polite and he sorted out the one i wanted, a Bosh stop start type. On arrival he delt with me, same again so polite and explained about matching the new battery to the car's computer, he took my keys and said it should take about 35 minutes. Returned later and the car was ready. Very professionaly run garage and all the staff were pleasant to other costomers there.

I visited Hanley kwikfit on Saturday the 25th June the gentleman in reception who I believe was outstanding very polite and efficient whilst watching in reception I noticed he was very busy and I would say over worked and multi tasking answering the phones which constantly ring and whilst he was busy a another member of staff who I believe was servicing came in handed him paper work went through the paperwork with him and walked out on to the car park sat at the end on a metal bar and started to smoke a cigarette and enjoy the sun whilst his college was left to do even more work I was astonished that the service guy couldn’t even be bothered to help his colleague in reception whilst the phones where ringing or even ring the customer with the service report I was amazed that one gentleman in reception was so busy with the work load and he didn’t complain he just got on with his job well done, you are more than a credit to this company you are well over worked I couldn’t do your job for all the tea in China I hope you get some help in the very near future in the reception or change your job as you were ridiculous busy for one person good luck in the future and thank you for fitting me in today and sorting out my alphabet fleet car

i got ripped off buying my car and the tyres were only the start of the things I've had to replace these guys sorted the tyres and the brakes good offers on too. very happy indeed

what can i say other than excellent service and fast fitting no problems what so ever

I have used kwikfit at Newcastle under Lyme and Hanley a few times. My experience is generally mixed and I have found them a reasonable and affordable alternative to showroom and dealer repairs. On this occasion I called at 4 pm to have my car's brakes pad, discs and brake fluid done. They gave me appointment later same day and did the Job in 30 odd minutes. Bill was reasonable.

I agree the staff were very friendly and courteous... that was until I had to ring them the next day to tell them my exhaust had to be replaced at another Kwik Fit garage as it had been so poorly fitted. As soon as I left the garage, something didn't seem right. The exhaust sounded like it was rattling a little bit but as it had just been done I assumed it couldn't possibly be anything major. That was until I took it on the motorway and was starting to worry that it was going to fall off! When I had a passenger in the car it was even worse, the exhaust was making a loud groaning noise. As I was in Liverpool at the time, I had to take the car to the Kwik Fit garage there and the mechanic couldn't believe his eyes. The first thing he said was "that's a really bad job!" I rang the Stoke garage to let them know what had happened and instantly the man I spoke to started denying it telling me had checked the exhaust himself and that it was fine... I said well obviously it isn't fine seeing as I've had to have it replaced the next day but he was having none of it. Due to the rude and patronising manner in which he spoke to me, I decided to take my complaint further and submitted it via the feedback form on the Kwik Fit website. I received a phone call a few days later offering me discount vouchers for my next trip to Kwik Fit which I obviously turned down as I won't be returning, but eventually accepted a £50 refund. My advice, stay away!

Given what I read about Kwik Fit I was hesitant about using them but thought I'd give it a go and form my own opinion based on the service I received, which turned out to be very good. I'd definitley use them again.
