Bintang

Bintang is one of the most popular beers in Indonesia. It's not particularly good, but needs must when the devil drives, especially when you want a drink in the world's biggest Muslim country and there is little else on offer. You drink it as it just about edges out it's main competitor (at least where I drank it in the archipelago) Bali Hai.

The bottom line is, you've been out in tropical heat, you get back to your hotel, you want a good stiff beer, and this does hit the spot. One of the favourite beers in Indonesia. Reminds me of Bali. Apart from the association with it's origin, otherwise non-descript. A little bland. I wouldn't drink it anywhere else though
