Ledger Fairy Tale castle of Bavaria The Rhine Valley and The Black Forest . Departed 20th May 2023 We were so looking forward to the above coach holiday as we had never done a coach tour before and fancied something different. We paid for the holiday and had to wait for the itinerary a week before going away. When the itinerary arrived we could not believe the time of the pick up for our area it was 02.45 am, if we had know this we would never have booked the holiday. The travel was very long and tiring we did not arrive at our first stop off in Belgium until 6.30pm ish that evening. After that each day was the same early morning start a long day on the bus, hotel, meal,bed. By the 5th day we had enough of sitting on the coach so we took 2 days off from the excursions to stay in the area we were based at, which we thoroughly enjoyed just being able to explore the area we were at. I feel ledger has not taken into account the amount of hours its passengers have had to sit on the coach to get from one area to the other, i dont think they have looked at or researched the geographical area and distances between each hotel. I feel it would have been better if the holiday had been based at one or 2 hotels then took people out daily from that base. I don't feel they give a clear picture of the travel involved especially being on a bus for over 50hrs plus on this holiday of 8 nights / 9 day it was not much fun for the travelers. Someone who has been on the other trips before said it has been the first time he has been sat on the bus as long. The hotels were all nice but the evening meals did not have a great choice especially for the main meal. We feel very let down for the amount of money we paid for this holiday and do not think its is value for the price we paid and have decided we will never do this sort of coach travel again.

I started filling a form in online to go to a Christmas market in December, to Bruges, I noticed it didn’t say how long it took,so didn’t complete the form. A couple of days later a gentleman phoned from the company, and I booked with him forgetting all about the details I wanted to know before completing the form. The details were How do we travel from uk to Bruges? 2. How long does this take. 3. What time have we to be at our local pick up point? 4. Where do we meet the coach for travel to Bruge? These were the points I wanted to check before booking, but was surprised and confused when thegentleman phoned and forget to check the relevant details, before booking and paying the deposit. I sent a email after I realised. They got back to me and said we would be on the feeder coach for 7 hours before the main coach and then 3 hours to Bruge. This was not acceptable to me having back problems, l tried to get in touch with them via phone 3 times, I was told they would ring they didn’t, but eventually text.AND THEY SAID THEY ARE Unable to give me a REFUND …. 7 MONTHS BEFORE THE TRIP TO BRUGES. IM SURE THEY WILL FILL THE COACH. BEWARE …….CHECK HOW LONG YOU WILL BE ON THE COACH!!!!!!!!!

Just returned from Majorca and Spanish Coast on a Luxuria Coach The whole trop was fabulous from start to finish Easy ferry at Dover Super hotels in Paris Spain and Majorca Lovely ferry crossing from Barcelona to Majoria Super weather and food and lovely day trips Staff on board the coach and hotels were fantastic Have booked 3 more Luxuria Coach holidays Highly recommended

We wish we'd read other reviews regarding holidays with Leger Coach Tours because we would never have booked a holiday with them in the first place if we had. Booked a holiday from their glossy brochure featuring photos of hotel with details of how near it was to various places of interest. Then we discovered that Leger could not guarantee we would be staying at that hotel anyway. That was the main reason we booked the holiday - possible alternative hotel would be five miles away from main hub. We cancelled in plenty of time but it's apparently okay for Leger to keep our deposit (and we paid more than we needed to) and also kept our travel insurance payment because we were stupid enough to also do that through them. There is no care or concern on their part regarding customer relations. They couldn't care a less. If you have a genuine complaint against this company, do take it up with ABTA. We did. They need to know how Leger treat people. The only thing we can take from this miserable experience is that we didn't actually go ahead with the holiday because judging by the reviews we've read here and on Trip Advisor we've had a lucky escape.

Booked trip 6th May now have to have knee replacement consultants said a coach trip would be out of the question so cancelled 10 weeks before trip. Told the £200 deposit we had paid would be lost. Never will we book with Leger

Beware Disgraceful customer service! We booked and paid for “Silver Service” which includes a luxury coach with lounge area and on-board service and Leger let us down by supplying a normal 55 seat coach because apparently ours broke down. We spent 5 days on a cramped, uncomfortable coach with no drinks service or lounge area only to be offered £30 (around 5% of the cost of the 5 day break) and very abrupt emails amounting to “take it or leave it” beware of the glossy brochures, when Leger make mistakes they don’t like making amends! They then told Trustpilot that my 1 star review was fake having already replied to it but thankfully Trustpilot did the proper checks and it is still there.

proper advertising not original booking 2019 (covid intervened). Finally went this year. However, charged extra £80 to bring in line with this years prices ??? itinerary sent in November showed all Christmas markets open, not the case 1 cancelled in August but they had not checked and had not even told the tour guides. Had to leave the other 2 markets before dark so did not see to full potential false advertising as all publicity shows markets at night and all lit up), reason for this was so could get back to hotel for dinner, could have eaten in town and fully enjoyed markets. Hotel rural so nothing else to do, cabs in rural France almost non existent. Delayed coming back as relief coach driver was at the wrong Motorway services. Complained, they took refuge in Terms and Conditions, said they had done nothing wrong and offered no recompense. Will I travel with them again ? Not a hope in hell, think twice before booking

Dreadfull experience with Sheerings no go trip to Croatia 24/9/22 Dire coach.No Sheerings agent I went no further No reply to 6 e mails Cost me £970 for a coach trip to South Mimms Customer service is non existent.

We have been customers with Leger for 8 years always holiday with them and ever since shearings have got there boot in they are making them look bad the driver we had did not have no interest in the holiday or passenger's apart from one which he chatted up and sat with her could not leave her alone not very professional and left all the driving to the other one he got drunk every night with the other passenger what holiday do you call that we went to Austria September not good enough come on Leger you were never like this

I have sent the following complaint and considering contacting ABTA if I am not satisfied with the response. On the 3rd September 2022, I went on the French and Italian Riviera Coach Holiday which was something I was looking forward to,as it had been cancelled 3 years ago due to Covid. I was especially looking forward to, as were many others, to the additional excursion to Monaco and Monte Carlo as it was somewhere I had never been. Many aspects of this holiday were unacceptable and definitely not what I paid for - 1. The holiday was supposed to be "Silver Service" which is advertised as having on-board entertainment and free headphones but none available. 2.Overnight stop on the way out was too close to Calais leaving a 16hrs trip to the Riviera the following day and arriving at 2245hrs and although a meal was supplied it was far too late to eat. 3.Stops en-route were not long enough for 30ish passengers to go to the toilet and get something to eat considering the mobility of many of the elderly passengers. 4.The aggressive driving of their employee whose driving made me very uneasy, he was constantly sounding his horn and one passenger was begging him to slow down and was in tears. 5.Cancelling the trip to Monaco and Monte Carlo which as stated previously was the main reason for booking the holiday. Obviously it was sad that the Queen had died but you cancelled the trip as a mark of respect without any consideration to your customers. The Tour Guide hadn't been told as she turned up. When the driver was confronted about the cancellation he said that he would take us but would not be happy about it and bearing in mind his driving I dread to think how he would have driven us there and then he crossed out "Have a nice day" on the noticeboard which is petty and childish. The additional excursion to Monaco and Monte Carlo was paid for and therefore a contract made between us and I can understand if extraordinary circumstances like weather, conflict or Government advice cancels the trip but not something which had no influence on the destination. Were included day trips on other holidays cancelled as a mark of respect. Were additional excursions on other holidays cancelled or was it just ours and if so why. What is the reaction of passengers on other holidays having their additional excursions cancelled. 6.The overnight stop on the way back was in the middle of an industrial estate, there were no facilities to get anything to eat or drink and not even a cup in our room to get a drink of water. 7.Passengers being left behind at a Service Station as no head count and driver only stopped when we shouted out. I know that many of us said that we were going to make a complaint.

My friend and I have just returned from the Edinburgh Tattoo and I am so sad that Leger do not seem to have any respect for their passengers. First and foremost the good points - The coach was wonderful, clean and comfortable and probably the best coach I have been in. The drivers were excellent in every way and could not be faulted. The Hotel and Staff - We stayed in the Normandy Hotel in Renfrew where the rooms were quite shabby, but that was okay because our room was clean. The staff were marvellous and unfortunately some of the guests were so frustrated with no response from Leger regarding their complaints their frustration was taken out on the staff who dealt with everything professionally. This hotel is an airport hotel not a holiday hotel - the first notice we received said “we are not offering Stay Service if you want clean towels, coffee, tea etc just collect from reception,”. I must admit that was a surprise, but the following day we understood what this meant - we had to make our own beds, wash our own cups, the bath and the sink and request clean towels?? I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and this has never been the case in any other hotel. We did not need to set our alarms as every morning we woken at 6am as the hotel is 1.6 miles from the airport, but an hour and a half from Edinburgh. The food on the first night really was not acceptable, but the chef was replaced and the food was greatly improved. You can image the discontent when passengers on the other buses told us they were staying at the Radstone Hotel, Larkhall. - the photographs of the hotel show beautiful, modern bedrooms, bars, lounges and even a swimming pool. Obviously, several guests, including myself have rung your customers service, where our complaints seem not to have been taken seriously and all requests to speak to a manger have been rejected - “Our managers don’t speak to customers?” What a strange way to run a company.

Leger substituted the Luxuria coach for Notts Forest football coach. Informed 4pm day before. Told me that the coach was virtually the same but different entertainment system. Seats in formation of 4,with fixed table between two travelling backwards, no foot rests, smaller seats, didn’t recline at all, no Wi-Fi for 4 days, air conditioning freezing . Leger offered £50 pp refund. 4 calls from customer services. Refuse to budge. Written to CEO and Exec Chairman. Complaint to ABTA now. Appalling. Now offered me 10% of my next tour booked for next September, so£400 . As if I would want to go back with them again? The driver told us on day one we should ask for a full refund! Went all the way to Italy and south of France, so 9 days of being on that coach bar one, for excursions and 4 full days travelling to and back from UK. Disgraceful response from Leger. Don’t deserve your money. Other better coach holiday provider’s.

My daughter & I visited St Mawes on a short break in October '21. Having used Shearings for many years will never travel with them again. Requests had not been met by hotel but they did move our room. Food at hotel was awful, driver gave little or no information and was very unprofessional. Full complaint sent to Leger/Shearings and basically received a whitewash of an apology. Avoid this Company if you want a decent holiday. St Mawes was beautiful but that is the only positive we can give.

Just returned on a silver service coach holiday to Torquay at the Torbay hotel August 2021 which was not as booked When booking no mention of a feeder coach being used Nospaciouslouge No sat nav viewing put on by driver No temperature check before boarding for corona virus No free personal headphones as advertised No luggage handling service to or from hotel as advertised No help for my disabled wife getting from bottom step of coach by driver No information at all from driver over both journeys to and from resort All in all top price paid for holiday that was not as advertised SILVER SERVICE This holiday was actually breaking the trade description act and was certainly not as advertised by Legertravelor should we say Shearings Travelwhich it now is

Very untrustworthy company. On website says abide and member of ABTA. Says if tour cancel by company full refund is made. Be careful with this company. they cancel tour and do not offer refund and coerce customers to rebook.

Paid extra for seats that were recommended to us by leger staff as having excellent views (definitely not the case).Our feeder coach was lovely the drivers were friendly looked very smart and were very attentive, when we transferred to our main coach we were so disappointed it smelt of stale tobacco, not surprising as the drivers were heavy smokers, every stop they smoked whole leaving the doors open while we froze. The drivers were not in xmas jumpers or uniforms they looked very casual (to say the least). We kept being asked not to use the toilet as it was only for emergencies. There was no Christmas atmosphere on the coach not even on Christmas day, the hotels were very good but because of a fault with our coach we missed our 3 course evening meal on one of the evenings as we didn't arrive on time. We didn't have porter service in hardly any of our stops as we'd been promised which proved a problem for some of the older passengers. Due to more coach problems we were sent a new coach to continue our holiday on, it had no Christmas decorations, had less leg room and no lounge area no TV or music. So it really felt very ordinary and certainly not worth over £3,000. We definitely would not recommend this company.

I booked a coach holiday to Europe with this ghastly company in January 2019 but for medical reasons knew I would be unable to go on the 30th September date. When I discovered this I informed Leger by letter on 4th May nearly 5 months before departure. This was not good enough for them. They have been harassing me ever since for another £300 so called deposit. Obviously I have foregone the original payment. What kind of holiday company cannot resell two seats on a coach given 5 months notice? Be warned this company is ruthless in its dealing with its "customers". According to other reviews customer service is a hollow promise too.

1st experience of travelling with Ledger silver service, Pick up and return fine the hotel we stayed Golden Tulip Zevenbergen in very happy with was too far from all the destinations about 1.5 hours on average. Not happy with the intinery would of like to of seen cheese.cloggs and pottery factories very bland trip not what I would associate with Holland. The coach and drivers fine only doing there job would not go with any coach company with out asking a lot more questions which I did but you do not get answers and itinerary does not arrive in full until 10days before this trip is definitely not suitable for anyone with disabilities quite a few on this trip struggled.

All Inclusive Spectacular Austria by Luxuria - 25/05/2019 Holiday was way below par from experience of previous Leger trips. Gasthof Ascherwirt - food ok, accommodation dreadful, staff surly and rude and packed lunches inedible. Drivers - provided little or no useful information, made no effort to alter trips despite one of the areas being inaccessible due to weather for months, took us to Kitzbuhel for hours on a day when all shops and some restaurants were closed. Biggest complaint is the total disinterest and lack of effort to placate travellers from their Customer Service team on return to UK. Several of us all received the same stock response with no effort to address particular concern and some received offer of a "small discount" in future, others did not.
