IT IS NOT A DIET! LET'S JUST ALL BECOME VEGANS... What a waist of money. Do you really believe that cavemen were brainwashed?? I've lost more than 30 kg eating lean meat with veggies instead of carbs and excercising. And was able to maintain it for 3 years now. If you are planning on becoming a vegan you need to eat a whole lot of beans and tofu etc to provide your organism with proteins and iron... At least in my country those products and especially fruits in winter, that are normally being imported, are going to make this brand new diet (eating habits meant here by diet)really expensive and not affordable for most of the population. I mean there are some obvious things in the book that are true. But I can't agree with the overall concept. Especially because this diet is far from balanced and rich in necessary nutrients and minerals. Have you ever been to Mediterranean countries? They eat plenty of meat and their diet is considered one of the healthiest in the world. Have you ever seen programs about African tribes... who brainwashes them that they eat meat and drink milk? Have you seen a single obese Maasai? The traditional Maasai diet consists of six basic foods: meat, blood, milk, fat, honey, and tree bark. So why aren't they getting obese?? Yes, they don't stop moving and never overeat due to lack of resources. So I'll give the author credit for saying overeating is bad.. But didn't you know that already?

we knew overeating was bad, but what he's saying is that really it's not something you even enjoy (much like you really don't enjoy smoking a cigarette).

“EAT YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD AS LONG AS ITS FRUIT AND VEG”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Aileen74 on 25/11/2011

I bought this book on the strength of having used his excellent stop smoking books. Allen Carr maybe an expert on smoking but knows little about losing weight. A blend of factual errors and pseudo science are used to back up his vegan agenda. Some of his scientific facts are just laughable and anybody with O level biology would see straight through it. The idea of the book is to get you to forget your normal foods and eat fruit, nuts, seeds and vegetables instead. If only it was that simple. He claims you can eat your favourite foods as much as you want as often as you want. Its a con because he expects you to choose food from his list rather than food that you would actually enjoy. If it sounds good to be true... well I should have known better. I really am diappointed as I admired Allen Carr's ability as an author and I feel really cheated that I paid money for the inconsistent and unresearched rambling of somebody who it looks like has cashed in on his reputation for smoking cessation. Buy the book if you want but you have been warned

“Stopped smoking with Allan Carr 2 years ago, so was...”

Stopped smoking with Allan Carr 2 years ago, so was very excited when I heard about the 'Allen Carr's Easyweigh to Lose Weight' weight loss system, book to go to a seminar. What a waste of money, expected to come out as motivated as I was with the stop smoking, instead came out totally deflated. My mother & I both did it for a month & lost nothing. Feel terrible as i persuaded my mother to pay the money & come with me.

“Allen Carr's Easyweigh to Lose Weight is repetitive,...”

Allen Carr's Easyweigh to Lose Weight is repetitive, badly written and in my opinion very badly researched. Should have stuck to getting people off the fags.
