Hisaronu, Turkey

The description on the internet of the Bigehan Hotel in Hisaronu made it sound perfect. It was far from it. There was no entertainment as stated, not even a TV in the bar. The Hotel is not anywhere near Hisaronu or near a local shop. The hotel is at the top of a very steep hill, that the locals call Cardiac Hill( says it all) You could not walk up it in one go, as it was so steep. The food was ok but we were offered no choice but what was the special that day. We had no TV or fridge in our room, as advertised. The Hotel was so boreing as there was no entertainment what-so-ever. You had to go out in the evening to have any fun and then had to either contemplaint the hill back or fork out for a taxi. The family that ran it and their staff were very friendly and helpful. It was the worst holiday I have ever been on and for the money I paid was a very expensive bad holiday. The Hotel was very old and for two days we did not have any hot water. The sheets were only changed once and that was the day before we left the Hotel. Water from the Hotel, which you had not choice but to buy there as the nearest shop was so far away, and would of killed you carrying it back up the hill. cost over £1 a bottle. Not the well deserved chilled out holiday that I had worked very hard for.
