Fender Squier JV-Series Precision Bass

I've owned my bass for just over two years and it's the best bass i've ever played. I paid £250 from PMT in Oxford - for some reason these basses are going up in price, saw one in Swindon for £279!!

Yes the action is a little high straight from the box and yes maybe Squier have decided to cut some corners with the bridge (i added a Badass II bridge) but it does everything you need a bass to do, it's great for slap and pop, comfortable for fingerplay and, although i've never tried, i bet it's good for plectrum play too. The neck is superb with a satin varnish to the rear for smooth but grippy play, i really can't recommend this bass enough, i practice twice a week and gig twice a month and it's never let me down.

I'm tempted to buy a second for reserve...

The Fender Squier JV Series has amazingly solid construction, built like a precision bass should be. Fantastic materials and workmanship. Just feels like it was made to last with loving care. Full of character, not like a modern off the shelf sterile thing.

I'd heard all about JV quality and was frankly dubious that the instruments could measure up to the legend. I managed to snaffle this one cheap (JV1XXXX 1962 RI export model in lovely sunburst with rosewood board, body appears to be Sen) it was a steal. If you see one grab it, you won't regret it.
