Japan, Narita International Airport,

Never been to an international airport that was so strict on hand luggage! Was a couple of kgs over and then had to add it to my luggage which meant I was over weight with the luggage allowance.

Got hit for $260 excess luggage - will not be flying via Narita again :-( It wasn't just me, it was everyone in the queue and loads of people had to throw away things - not a user friendly airport! Tokyo is an amazing place, the people here are very special, but the airport staff follow the rules exactly!

I normally fly about 20 to 30 times a year and this is the first time this has ever happened!
