Volvo XC60 2.4D SE

This is my second Volvo, and has been a bit of a disappointment. It has broken down twice and has been the subject of 3 recalls (although 1 of the recalls was not a serious matter). Of the breakdowns, all were electrical gremlins, which seems to me to be very 'ford'-like in nature. The car required recovery and repair while in France, and required to be garaged for repair for the second breakdown. My first volvo was virtually unbreakable and never suffered any kind of breakdown in over 90k miles of motoring. This was why I bought the second one!

The car is generally sluggish, but I knew that when I bought it. Fortunately, the dealer is excellent and has been very supportive. Frankly, he deserves better cars from volvo, and so do I.

In terms of comfort and usability, the car was, and is excellent. I have completed about 42k very comfortable miles, interrupted only by the sound of breaking electrical bits.
