Lacuna Coil, Enjoy The Silence

If you're a fan of 90's music given a complete makeover by a rock/metal band whilst they were heavily influence by African music then you will absolutely love Lacuna Coil's version of Depeche Mode's Enjoy The Silence. Although most of Karmacode, Lacuna Coil's most recent album, is obviously and heavily influenced by music from Africa the band seemed to tone it down for the last song on the album. But who's to say it would have made it any less mind-blowing. Cristina's vocals are perfectly complemented by her fellow vocalist Andrea and they are in turn supported by the music provided by Chris, Maus, Marco and Criz.

This version of Enjoy The Silence, although amazing before hand, has been completely revamped and is quite possibly better than the original. However much of the credit still belongs to Depeche Mode for writing such a fantastic song that had a brilliant simplicity about it, but Lacuna Coil have blown it into a completely different league with their interpretation.
