Many of the so called wedding review sites really aren't very helpful. The supplier has the right to veto any review they don't like. Take a look at the biggest one and notice how many are 5 star. The suppliers on there only agree to the 5* reviews and then have the nerve to post a link to it on their website which is just plain delusional. Weddings uncovered represents uncensored views and is the only forum which I have found to do so. When you have a negative experience on such a special day of course you want to voice that and to warn other brides. Seriously would anybody else bother to post. The only small suppliers who need worry are those who provide poor service. I would definitely run the name of any person I intended to use through this tool.

Anyone can post a review on this website and they have no way of knowing if it is true or not, all they are doing is damaging small businesses. If this was against big named companies there would be a libel case against this website.

Okay I get married in July 2011 and I may not be able to take all the online reviews or peoples word of mouth as gospal but thats what freedom of speech is and what sites like weddingsuncovered is aimed at.
I have searched many sites including review centre and weddingsuncovered seeking companies to use and even keep away from but lets be honest everyone is quick to write the bad and not so much the good so I can only use these as a guide and as an adult will make up my own mind who I will use, not 1 negative review on a site like this will put me off and businesses that think it will and get scared should not worry!!! unless they know something we don't and that their business is that bad.
Yes companies can write reviews theirselves but they can on any review site and scouring google there are many places they could if they could be bothered and have time on thier hands (meaning business is not good) but reading the sites T&Cs it seems all reviews and where they are sent from are vetted before the review goes live so how many good ones can one company write before its noticed.
Anyone thats worried should encourage their customers to write the good to make the reviews ratings higher and more useful to people like me.
I appreciate sites like this they are only publishing 3rd parties comments that I could get if I ask around my town anyway.

I am sure that this web site had the best intentions but the name suggest that it is uncovering bad suppliers and bad service what if it was called lawyersuncovered.co.uk or bankersuncovered.co.uk we could rate 1-5 how quickly we will end up in the libel courts.
