The Philips Dvd-623 Is A Pretty Good Machine, But
The Philips DVD-623 is a pretty good machine, but no better than most of the budget DVD players on the market. Plays a good variety of discs, but does not cope well with damaged or dirty discs (unlike my Pacific 1001). MP3 CD navigation is poor, no album tiles or song titles, just numbers, and navigation through these occasionally causes the machine to 'hang' and stop responding.

The Missing Blue Output Must Be A Board Production
The missing Blue output must be a board production problem because both the DVD623 and 624 models that I bought had the same problem. This would not be a concern for most users though. Too bad though, I returned both units because I have a use for this feature.

I Can't Fault This Player At All Really It Has A C
I can't fault this player at all really it has a couple of bad points but they are only niggles. This player does everything my friends does and their's cost over £300!!
It has 3d sound and surround sound and even dolby sound!
Plays all disk types, even my home made vcd's! You can zoom in on dvd's for close ups and when you stop the dvd if you press play it'll start again from where you left off.
Also operates a complete shut off when you switch off, it doesn't just go on standby.
I paid £89.99 in Sainsburys sale and I also got 3 free dvd's 2 of which my littlin loves!
Well worth the money would recommend to all!!
