A Company To Avoid

Absolutely atrocious, negligent, customer service. Never again for me.

The days are over for companies who treat customers as if they are just so much trash. I had a trivial problem with an order which would have cost them about £1 to rectify -- the problem was entirely theirs but I waited beyond the limitation period before noticing -- they seem to not want me as a customer. So I will stick to safer options like Chinese sellers on Ebay or Amazon from now on.

Terrible. Send Faulty Part And Fuss About Replacing It

I bought a transformer for around 20GBP at the company. The part that arrived had a broken case. Luckily I noticed this when fitting the part as it was potentially dangerous. I let them know via phone that the part was broken and requested a replacement part. Next they ask me via email to send them a picture of the broken part! Seriously, they don't trust me with reporting a faulty transformer for 20GBP? Of course I've send them a picture of the part and do hope to receive a replacement. However, I will not shop with them again.

Not Existing Warranty

Bought a 3d printer from rapidonline.com 3 months ago Vertex Velleman k8400 kit NOT A GOOD ONE so one of my motor driver modules burned out just after 3 months

So I contacted them by email sent a picture on the 18 of july got an automatic email and that is it. so far nothing I called a couple of times every time different person nobody knows about the other and all I'm getting since is lies!!!!! AVOID TO BUY !!!! ANYTHING THAT NEEDS WARRANTY!!!!!

Worst Online Retailer

In my personal experience, this is probably one of the worst online supplier to deal with.

I placed an order with them on the 23 Feb hoping that I will receive it within a week. Having not heard anything by the 26th, I logged on into my account and to my shock and horror; they had decided to cancel my entire order without giving me any reason whatsoever. There was no problem with my card or payment or anything else. They took full payment off my card on the 24th Feb. If I had not checked the status of my order, I would be sitting and waiting for next 5 years for it to be delivered.

You would think that if you place an order with a company, they would at least have the manners and courtesy to inform you if they decide to cancel your order for no apparent reason (considering that they have all your contact details including email address and phone number)

Terrible customer service. These nice reviews are most likely left by company employees or friends because this is certainly not what I have experienced as a customer

Extreemly Late Business Delivery

Working for a company, which creates a lot of prototype things, we have tight deadlines.

Ordered a large quantity of components, paid extra for before noon next day delivery.

Noon came and went, complained, told they had a mix up, then told special delivery at 15:30, which is 3 and a half hours late.

15:30 came and went, now being refunded the postage, whoop de do.

I will now be working 4 hours plus.., because these idiots don't deliver when they state and don't seem to be bothered if they don't deliver on time, saying well we've refunded your postage.

These idiots have now cost us money, hence this review.

Faster Than Fast In Fact Rapid

After several attempts at locating mini bulbs for an american car I had just about given up all hope when I stumbled across Rapid Electronics, Not sure if I was ordering the right size of bulbs I decided to phone them and to my suprise the young lady from Rapid Electronics was extremly helpful and helpful unlike the chap from maplins who could not be bothered and must have a degree in being offensive (I'm Scottish not stupid). To my delight the next day my bulbs arrived and as promised they were a perfect fit. I would highly recomend Rapid Electronics to everyone for their proffesional and RAPID service and I will not bother going anywhere else as they will be first on the list

I Had A Problem With My Pc Where It Would Not Boot

I had a problem with my PC where it would not boot. I asked a friend and they recommeded Rapiid Electronic Repair so I took them up on it. The people there are very friendly and work as a good team. They fixed my problem for a reasonable cost. When I first booted up my machine at home I found another problem. They honored their warranty and fixed that problem as well.

I mostly dealt with Curtis, who is a heck of a nice man.

Used These Guys A Couple Of Times Now. They Have A

Used these guys a couple of times now. They have a good range of components and their prices are on the mark, especially with the free delivery option on orders over £35.

Delivery is prompt and all the packaging very organised - everything comes in ziplock bags with labels describing the part.

I have found that sometimes an item you ordered won't be in stock. This is noted on your invoice as "to follow". Certainly from my experience, everything to follow came within a day or two of the other stuff.

I've Used Rapid Electronics Many Times Over 20 Yea

I've used Rapid Electronics many times over 20 years and never had any problems. During this time they have grown their catalogue enormously. For most things they are significantly cheaper than another well known electronics chainThey are more orientated to supplying business, but seem perfectly happy to sell to private individuals (which is how I deal with them). Don't have a minimum order value, but orders over £25 have no delivery charge.

I have Sony FH-7 MK 2 tape recorder, its power amplifier IC stk4026 is not working. I can't get stk4026 in the market to replace. but I can get stk4028. Is stk4028 equivalent to stk4026?
