The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button

It's as moving as i expected and I've seen this movie many times. This movie makes me think about how our life is important. In my opinion, one of the memorable lines is 'Everyone feels different about themselves one way or another, but we all going the same way'. i think the saddest scene is when Benjamin Button left his girlfriend, she couldn't have grasped even though she woke up because they knew they get on in years differently.

interesting plot, great acting (even though i dont like brad pitt). the movie wasn't boring or stagnant, like so many can be. it was certainly worth it!

Why the critics rave about the The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button is a mystery to me. It was boring beyond belief. I was literally jumping out of my skin waiting for it to end, which almost never happens to me (Trojan Women was the last time.) Not all that interesting either. It tried too hard to be meaningful when it was a nothing but a gimmick. It was far too long ... and contrived. I give it a 2 only because it was an attempt to step outside the box (though it was a failed attempt). There was no creative reason to double cast Cate Blanchet in the roles of Benjamin's two loves. It was irritating and confusing. I only paid $3 to see it and considered that a waste. And I was not alone. In an adult, artsy audience, people in the rows around me were laughing at how ridiculous it was when they got up to walk out.

In my opinion The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button was boring in the beginning, and after that when the action was a little better it jumped from a period to another period, I feel without developing the characters.I didn't like the movie,

I went to see The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button a couple of weeks ago with my dad and my advice to all would be to wait for it to come out on dvd. The idea behind the film is a good one and there were noteable performances from both Cate Blanchett and Taraji Henson. Brad Pitt however just did what he always does in films which leaves me wondering if he can actually play any diverse characters at all. The film was overly hyped and does not live up to expectation. My dad is an avid cinema goer and watches mostly everything that comes on and finds it hard to fault anything as he just loves the experience. However, the fact that he fell asleep in the film speaks volumes. It also made me feel that it had been done before - the naration / love story thing reminded me somewhat of 'Titanic' although the stories are obviously vastly different. Disappointing.

Touching, first part of The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button showed every child has a person who may love him even if not his parents or if he looks like a freak. The part showing the relationship of Banjamin with his father and how he did not keep any bad heart feeling, he even carried him to watch the sunrise at is last moments in life. The relationship between both Benjamin and his wife, and the way he new and had a vision that he must leave and stay away.

Very good movie, although it may not happen in real life but we never know??

This is the tale of a man who is born old and gets younger as time goes by. The story is told by way of a daughter reading Benjamin's diary to her dying mother. Benjamin was born on the day World War I ended, his mother dying in childbirth. His father is horrified when he sees the baby and runs from the house with the child, eventually abandoning it on the steps of what today would be a nursing home for the elderly. The head caretaker, Queenie, takes the baby into the home and raises him with the help of her other charges. Along the way he meets the granddaughter of one of his elderly friends living in the home and is taken with her, enjoying her company and friendship. She becomes an integral part of his story as he grows younger and she grows older. With the passage of time, Benjamin leaves the home in search of his destiny. He goes to sea on a tugboat eventually joining the fight in the Atlantic during World War II. Meanwhile the granddaughter, Daisy, becomes a renowned ballerina. Their paths will cross again and again as he continues to grow younger and she older. At about 2 hours and 45 minutes, this movie doesn't lose focus and keeps the viewer so involved that the time passes quickly. This is a sad, funny and poignant film that entertains throughout.
