Better Laptops Out There...

I've had mine for over four years and the mouse buttons have never worked properly and seem to have a mind of their own. It's relatively slow and the battery life is awful! It hold no charge whatsoever in the last year or so and has to remain plugged in. I'm sure there are better laptops out there and I have replaced mind with a fantastic Sansung Galaxy tablet (ipad non-flash compatibility was the deal breaker for me)

Good Laptop

Own this laptop 5 years now, i'd usually expect a laptop to run quite slow and be laggy/sluggish at this stage in it's life but it's still running quite fast. Never had a hardware issue with this laptop either, had a few software issues but they were soon rectified in the store I bought it from.

Reason for 4 stars is the battery life is very poor, the battery stopped working this year actually so It has to be plugged in all the time to be used but what do you expect for a 5 year old laptop.

all in all, i'm quite happy with this laptop.

I had this laptop for 18 months and during that time the sound became very poor, the disc drive stopped working and overall it was very slow running.

I had tried to put it in for repairs in the shop I brought it from but sony wouldn't release the parts I needed, meaning I would have to send it directly to sony. In the end i found it cheaper to just buy an external disc drive.

Personally I would say " Stay well clear of this laptop, it's a complete waste of money"

The silver finish on the Sony VAIO VGN-NR38E/S where you would place your hand is rubbing off, the laptop is less than 12months old and it looks very tatty and cheap, you expect more from Sony, very very dissappointed

I can honestly say that this laptop is amazing, typical Sony at it's best! Would recommend Sony VAIO VGN-NR38E/S to anyone, it is FAB!
