I Saw The Akg K26p Headphones At An Apple Store In

I saw the AKG K26P headphones at an Apple store in Osaka, Japan and was impressed by their sound and size. I wrote down the model number (didn't purchase at that time) and bought them over the Internet when I returned to America. I usually by large, premium cans for recording, listening, and playing (I'm a drummer). I must say these headphones are easy to carry, very lightweight, and deliver great sound with a nice spread across the frequency range, though I don't have the exact specifics. I have owned them for about four years and they still are going strong. Two drawbacks I must mention are 1) rarely (has happened twice in four years) one of the ear pads detaches from the headset but my wife fixed it easily by just reattaching it to the headset (love you, honey!) and 2) Prolonged use (over three hours) can hurt where the pads rest because the metal curves firmly around one's head (I have a big head (7.5) but should be fine for most). I believe these headphones are discontinued now, but if you see a pair in a store, on Internet, or on clearance, I think they are a very good buy.
