Sales person talks you into signing their contact which seems to meet everything you need but in reality it does not. You dont get the support your offered for hr and for health and safety the nice folder they show you will all the paperwork completed for you doesn't happen. You get one visit a year and they all the work to you still Avoid it’s a waste of money that some business can’t afford to lose. If you with them watch out for the auto renew clause which ties you in with them more with unlawful exit fees

I don't recommend this company to anyone, they hoodwink small businesses into signing an auto renewal document, even though the sales pitch does not mention this once, its small print. Then when i call up to cancel my subscription 4 months before the end they tell me they've auto renewed it for a further 5 years as its 6 months notice to cancel the auto renewal and if i wish to cancel i have to pay them 80% off the outstanding 5 year balance. Rude on the phone, haven't used them for a full five years. Tried once to gain advise on letting a staff member go who worked for me for only 2 weeks, was a shambles altogether. I'm so disgusted at them I've 2 other businesses which i use them for and I'm ensuring to cancel my auto renewal now. Please avoid, there are many better and more upfront and honest companies out there.

Was missold a contract we thought was for one particular purpose but turned out did include anything we required for our small business. Now stuck in a 5 year contract paying for a service we have absolutely no use for and they will not accept any responsibility for the matter even though they've admitted the contract is not what we thought we were signing up for. Also if you do ever sign a contract with these awful folk make sure you don't fall for their "Auto-renewal", the sham artists will automatically put you on another 5 year contract with no notice period! If you're a small business please do yourself a favour and avoid Peninsula at all costs.

I will not comment on how this was managed, however any evidence provided from an employee at a disciplinary or grievance will not be considered. You may even be asked to provide evidence that incriminates yourself at the disciplinary hearing. They will tell you to do this or it will look worse on you. I write this review because I am absolutely appalled that my personal data was breached multiple times. The latest breach involved four third parties, they happen to be my superiors and happens to be during my husbands disciplinary appeal window. The company that peninsula were advising takes no responsibility and places the blame on peninsula (they even gave me a name) which is why I write this review. Some of the personal data shared with my superiors were my clinical notes which is Protect-Medical, emails discussing my medical needs and another document that includes my daily struggles and needs to manage my disease. My address was also shared. My husbands personal data has also been breached multiple times. I can only assume Peninsula's GDPR Compliance Statement is for decoration only. The data controller is overall responsible however, Peninsula should be advising instead the company are now facing being sued.

We attempted to cancel our contract in October 2021. We lost our business due to a natural disaster and highway shutdowns. for about 6 months after this, my family didn’t know where our next meal was coming from. We lost everything. Every other company we dealt with graciously let us out of our contracts. Not peninsula, they harassed my family to no end and still do. They send me a notice every month with a compounding amount stating that our contract is still valid and will not be canceled. They are absolutely horrible people. Do not sign anything with them! On top of this, when we first started with them it was impossible to get any help or information for months.

The advice given is good if you get one of the better colleagues however when in dispute with an employee they refer you to the so called "independent"face to face which is a company with the same pay master as themselves. They tell you this is impartial and get them to whitewash or damage limitate the case in favour of your company rather than to be independent.

Appauling company that once signed do nothing for the money you pay. When contacted they never answer your questions when they eventually get back to you which can be months, also if you call up you are on the line for forever and then get cut off! Don't do anything for the money and no personel contact just generated emails once in a while. Shouldn't be allowed to carry on trading. Acas has better customer service and are more polite and helpful and cost you nothing!

Having signed up for a 5 year contract after listening to the salesman preach to me how much I needed this service in my business for fear that if I didn't have their advice I may end up in jail for doing wrong by my staff I conceded. I was told that I was signing up for a 5 year contract and after that point I was free to leave at any point and that it would just be a rolling continuation. As it turns out that when I went to give them notice as they have not contacted my on their own merits during the entire pandemic to ensure that my staff / employment law was OK and the business didn't require any advice and due to the fact the Coronavirus as itself killed my business providing me with no income I contacted them with a courtesy call to inform them that we would be parting companies as there was no money to pay them. Apparently I have just 'renewed' my contract which is done after 4.5 years because you have to give 6 months notice to leave and they have renewed my contract for a further 5 years. I have been informed that they do not need to contact me to inform me of this as it's a 'one page document' - who knew a one page document had so much clout... Peninsula HR have told me I have no way of getting out of the contract even though I didn't want / agree to renew because apparently what was signed 5 years ago is adequate. Under the current circumstances I am sure I am not the only business that is finding things hard / unable to continue and their dealings with us have been unacceptable and quite frankly inhuman. For a business who deals with employment law their dealings with their own clients leave a lot to be desired. They will preach to the employers that they must keep in touch with staff and ensure that they are regularly updated with any changes and or things that may affect them but do not practice what they preach when it comes to running their own business. They don't contact you on a yearly event which we were promised, we have had NO contact with regards to how we are dealing with COVID-19 and our staff. They are hands down the worst company I have come across to deal with and would NEVER recommend to anyone. If you are in your 1st contract get out as soon as possible..

I’m in total agreement and plan on writing an article and blog to educate small business owners on the perils of dealing with firms such as them. Sales teams are exceptionally convincing and quite frankly take advantage of a start ups lack of knowledge or challenging circumstances. They are an excellent resource and support for medium to large businesses, that I have no doubt, however for small businesses it can literately ruin them. There are many free resources and associations that can assist small businesses. I hope that by sharing our negative experiences we can save another company heartache and disaster.

I could have written this review it is almost word for word where we find ourselves and as a small club only employ 3. Trying to terminate contract which has one month to run they want a further year so it is not six months notice is it it’s a year minimum

Once you have signed the contract they do nothing You’re lucky if they turn up to do the annual review The so-called company handbook looks like it had been put together by five-year-old Paste and copy paste and copy 99.9% of the information you can get free online Apparently a five year contract means 10 years and they tell you you’re stupid if you didn’t see this in the small print The contracts automatically renew unless you give them six months notice in writing you would’ve thought a company that is confident about their product would write to their customers their loyal customers of five years to warn them This period is coming up They say that the clause meaning the contract auto renews for five years is not hidden and is a one-piece standalone document but at no point does the pushy salesman ever point this out to you they are too busy telling you how are you will go to prison if you don’t comply to the many regulations he can come up with For example of how proactive they are they contacted my company in late June to warn us about coronavirus and the implications to staff and customers I was much appreciated Of this as I had not watched TV in the last three months and was unaware there is a pandemic running across the whole planet thanks peninsula Summarise you can get cheaper better quality of service and more honest companies

A truly awful organisation to deal with. We have been a Peninsula customer for 6 months and I couldn't think of a worse supplier that I've dealt with in my years in business. Firstly the sales process is one based on pressure and the fear of what may happen without Peninsula on board - once you've signed up, no matter how unhappy you may be with the service, you're stuck in a lengthy contract that there's no getting out of. We have experienced serious unprofessionalism, tight SLAs and even sexism from team members of Peninsula, without any willingness to accept that members of their own staff could do any harm. Aside from this the service provided is very generic and if you choose to work with Peninsula you will find that explanations need to be given and then repeated multiple times to staff members just to gain a basic understanding of needs. I find it very difficult to believe that this organisation has achieved as high rating as it has on other review sites based on our experience. Would strongly suggest avoiding this provider.

Would never recommend!! salesmen give you false promises and then do not deliver. They say it’s not in the written contract so tough. They bully you as they are a big company Salesman tell you everything you want to hear to get you in to a contract. 3 years I have had terrible service, they tell you you get bespoke documents but they are poorly put together templates not tailored to your business, H&s can only give you very basic advise that you can get free from HSE, been waiting 2 years for a H&S question and they can’t answer it. And legal team are so reactive not proactive you have to tell them the documentation they need.

Beware of their contracts! Whilst the knowledge they impart is accurate to the law - there is massive difficulty in getting the knowledge. Numerous times we have attempted to call through to ask for advice and are told that someone will get back to us - after continuous waiting and then re-chasing, we never hear back. When trying to terminate our contract due to the above, which we had to try and do through numerous days and took over a month to be able to speak to someone, we are told that our contract auto renewed (we never had any contact from them to say so). However this auto renew occurred AFTER our original contact. We are then told that we have to pay for this service, which we cannot ever get through to, for a further 3 years!

They’ve helped us over several years with all aspects of HR and employment law, if your not an expect then why not have the experts on your side? We’ve had help with mediation and documentation which has allowed us to deal with issues quickly

Do you realise that Peninsula HR bright app is breaking employment law.
If you have part time workers the App cannot work out the correct holiday entitlement.

I've used peninsula for over 5 years and I've found their service to be second to none. Their HR advisers are friendly but professional at all times and I like the fact that I can speak to the same adviser when I call.
