Appauling company that once signed do nothing for the money you pay. When contacted they never answer your questions when they eventually get back to you which can be months, also if you call up you are on the line for forever and then get cut off! Don't do anything for the money and no personel contact just generated emails once in a while. Shouldn't be allowed to carry on trading. Acas has better customer service and are more polite and helpful and cost you nothing!… Read Full Review

“Worst contract EVER”

Having signed up for a 5 year contract after listening to the salesman preach to me how much I needed this service in my business for fear that if I didn't have their advice I may end up in jail for doing wrong by my staff I conceded. I was told that I was signing up for a 5 year contract and after that point I was free to leave at any point and that it would just be a rolling continuation. Spot on! I've come to exactly the same conclusion and they have told me my contract auto-renewed in May because I didn't serve them with 6 months notice. Why would anyone want a company with these values representing them?

“Truly awful organisation to work with, avoid!”

A truly awful organisation to deal with. We have been a Peninsula customer for 6 months and I couldn't think of a worse supplier that I've dealt with in my years in business. Firstly the sales process is one based on pressure and the fear of what may happen without Peninsula on board - once you've signed up, no matter how unhappy you may be with the service, you're stuck in a lengthy contract that there's no getting out of. Would never recommend!! salesmen give you false promises and then do not deliver. They say it’s not in the written contract so tough. They bully you as they are a big company Salesman tell you everything you want to hear to get you in to a contract. 3 years I have had terrible service, they tell you you get bespoke documents but they are poorly put together templates not tailored to your business, H&s can only give you very basic advise that you can get free from HSE, been waiting 2 years… Read Full Review

Beware of their contracts! Whilst the knowledge they impart is accurate to the law - there is massive difficulty in getting the knowledge. Numerous times we have attempted to call through to ask for advice and are told that someone will get back to us - after continuous waiting and then re-chasing, we never hear back. They haven’t realised yet that your app breaks employment law, problem is your trying to hide this error instead of taking it of the market or updating it.
You have 7 days to cancel my contract, if not done I will make a complaint to trading standards and ask them to investigate miss selling and your Bright HR app.

Having signed up to Penninsula a year for a 5 year contract( I couldn't afford a shorter term and was advised to take it over 5 years ) , unfortunately my business had to close as it wasn't viable and I no longer had any employees , it was a small business and I only had limited usage of Penninsula , after contacting them and informing them of my closure and could I cancel the contract as there wasn't a get out clause and in my naivety I hadn't fully… Read Full Review

i also have had a similar problem with them, i lost all confidence in them as an adviser about 2years into the contract, at the time,despite my complaint, there was no getting out of the contract, which i continued to pay for despite not using their services. They did as a goodwill gesture give me 3months free service.
But now, insultingly they automatically renewed my contract at the end of the 5 year term for another 5 years! Of course i was not standing for this, and objected to continuing the contract, as a goodwill gesture they reduced the term to 1 year, i am of course am incensed at this as I have paid them for 3years already for doing nothing, now they want another year out of me. When i replied to them how unfair they are being they most audaciously offered me 1month free!!! How can it be free service if i am paying for years of service that i'm not using.....they are the ones getting money from me for free????? How unfair and i re- emphasise your comment - shame on Peninsula

When you buy in they do not hold a gun to your head, however when you are not buying their H&S service they soon get in to pressure/duress selling mode. Lost count of the times going to jail was mentioned and when i complained they did an internal investigation, guess what, we found no wrong and that is the end of it. Everyone needs to read their very dubious contract. i have analysed their sales MO. Most people engage them when they have an issue, thus they are under stress and have an immediate very very stressful issue to sort, along comes the white knight and "can sort it just sign here" while being assured the issue will be gone on signing the "client" not valued client grabs pen in haste, signs up and the problem usually goes away. They are buzzing and fire off great reviews. Its easy to see the genuine ones, (no doubt some people enjoy the service and get value), however I do not know any business that can ignore, abandon and disrespect their clients the way these guys do and then hen the client is dissatisfied enforce a contract to get the full price of the contract, they are not doing anything their contract says they cant, however what they are doing to some people not all is at least unethical and immortal. when a disrupt-er enters this market place they will clean up and take the whole market. OH BY THE WAY NOTE THAT YOUR CONTRACT AUTOMATICALLY RENEWS FOR THE SAME PERIOD YOU INITIALLY SIGNED UP FOR I.E. 5 YEARS IF YOU DO NOT PUT IT IN WRITING YOU WANT TO STOP THE SERVICE 6 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR ORIGINAL CONTRACT ENDS! THIS IS JUST AN INSURANCE POLICY AND ALL INSURANCE POLICIES HAVE A RENEWAL, ANYONE WHO HAS CONFIDENCE IN THEIR SERVICE WOULD RING OR WRITE TO ASK YOU TO RENEW, OUR DELIVERY APP PROVIDER SAYS "THEIR IS NO CONTRACT OF WE DONT DO OUR JOB YOU CAN SAC US OFF" NOW THAT'S CONFIDENCE,

I have a problem with them salesman, told me they could help me with a staffing issue and they had in-house occupational health and would resolve my issue sooner than Later.Two months later nothing done util one lady phoned me to tell me they had no in-house occupational health but could give me a phone number of a good other company. What a joke, when I kicked up hell I started getting phone calls from everybody.I now are getting threatened with legal action.
