Unlike so many other so called SEO companies - perform the work upfront and only when your keywords appear on page 1 do they start to bill you .i.e. you pay on results - the perfect / safest business model. Provided plans and campaign centre are very clear and show us exactly what work has been completed and the results/progress to date. Ask for [name removed] - he is very responsive member of the team and professional/knowledgeable about his work.

We have been using Smart Traffic since 2009 for our SEO work and have had good and consistent results with their campaigns for us. The targets set and agreed in advance have been achieved and this has allowed us to reduce our spend on more conventional advertising so for us it has proved to be very good value for money spent. Throughout each campaign there has been good communication keeping us up to date with how it is performing and the people we have dealt with all seem to have a good level of knowledge and the ability to explain the complexities of SEO. We had worked with several seo companies in the past as well as doing a lot of seo work ourselves. When we lost traffic on one of our keywords we worked with another company, signed on for a year and it was a disater. I wish I had spent the money on a nice car or holiday. We then found Smart Traffic and approached a little cautiously. From the outset however I had a greater sense of confidence. Sam, our initial contact, was efficient, polite, professional and committed to gaining results for us. We signed up and very quickly gained the lost ground on our keyword. We are now sitting at postion 3 from an inital start of position 27. A great result. We have added in other keywords and are starting to see results there too. Our Account Manager has changed to Jamie who is also great to work with. Things I like about Smart Traffic: reliability, professionalism, results focus, flexibility. They are expensive relative to other companies,however I do believe you get what you pay for!

Reviews written by the Smart Traffic team. It's not a clever way to do business.
Regardless of the fact - to this day, I still have not made my ROI back. Checking over the link reports, the links appear artificial and some already have been deindexed by Google.
Everything that was said and promised was not delivered.
I have a lot of colleagues and friends in similar industries that I would not recommend Smart Traffic at any given day.
You may as well spend 500 english pounds with an Indian SEO firm and get decent results than it is with them.

Slightly suspicious to get a response an hour later where my review has been posted. I assume reason being is that A) smart traffic has received a e-mail notification that a comment has been posted to their review. B) scanning your reviews - which is not surprising as there were dozen of reviews from disappointed clients who had written that it's a funny coincidence that after each negative review a positive review follows.
There is an interesting blog I have posted here but has been censored, where you can read actual reviews written by past clients. Everyone has the same story to tell. Type into google "smart traffic reviews" and there are tons of reviews of people who have the same story to tell.
Without spending more time on this: Please Smart Traffic - think again, how much you charge, what you promise and what you actually deliver. I think we were sold a absolute super duper quality link for £25 - I simply didn't know better. It is a rip off and a ridiculous thing to do so!
Apparently people had been sued in the past for leaving negative comments. Well, I don't think young entrepreneurs who lack on money should be treated like this! The quality of work that has been received in the past equals the quality of work we would have got for £200 from India. We paid a lot more with you guys.
Just think about it ..... we learned our lesson and for anyone who is starting a business and relies on the internet I give you the following advice - we are ranking well today without a SEO company. All you have to do is this (and google loves this!) :
- Offer information that matters to users on the website (you will be well ranked for what you offer - especially if niche market)
- Bear in mind you don't want to be found by everyone - but by those who will pay eventually for your services/product.
- Make sure you have unique and appropriate Meta data in place - describing each site.
- Put sufficient and relevant information on each page
- plan the website in a way that it is well structured.
- don't be shy and make use of social websites to advertise
- advertise on related pages, submit articles you have wrote, that match what you offer, that gives information of current events, products, news, etc. (it takes a few minutes to write an article)
- post stuff and ask friends to share it.
- don't copy from other websites offering similar services/products - be unique!
- OFFER A PRODUCT AND SERVICE THAT SELLS (you will have hundreds of natural links in no time if it matters to people)
- forget about all those crappy and meaningless posted links on random pages.
- if you wish to comment, engage in conversations on blogs and say meaningful stuff. I am convinced if you own a business you are passionate about what you are doing. So engaging in blogs should be fun and benefit everyone - not just for the sake of placing a back link.
So there it is - no need to spend money. Better you make it !
SEO companies are completely useless. Once we stopped searching for SEO services and started focusing on our marketing efforts and do it ourselves in a very natural way we started ranking well ! SEO is a natural thing you have to do yourself - it's not something that can be paid for or can be forced.

Getting new enquires was always expensive for us, as we are based in Cornwall but cover the whole country. I knew of Smart Traffic through a friend but didn’t really have a clue about how to get started with SEO. Jay at ST has managed our account really well and we have seen new business through the website up by over double in the last year and has won us big contracts with some big names that we would not have got in front of without being top for non-slip floors. Much cheaper and much more effective than advertising in national mags to try and win new customers, and has put us on the map as a big player in the market - not bad for a couple of Cornish lads. I started Giantcod in 2007. I have some SEO understanding, (or did back then) and got my site kicked off by doing my own onsite work and by building some links by contacting similar websites and doing a link exchange. This took time, but by August 2007 I got up to about 130 unique visitors a day, not bad – enough to justify the purchase of more stock and a small unit. My link building efforts were getting me about 10 – 20 good links a month, depending on how hard I hit it – problem is, as anyone knows that has tried to do this themselves whilst running a business, it takes a lot of time. By Early 2008 I was up to around 250 unique visitors a day, mostly from Google and spending around £500 a month on pay per click – not sure how many visitors were from the organic listings and how many from PPC though. I actually got a call from Simon at Smart Traffic and we kept in contact for about 3 months before I committed! It turned out that I was not getting a huge conversion on the pay per click, probably my fault as I have not tweaked the campaign since setting it up and I decided to switch the budget from PPC and try some SEO – starting on a small budget. Smart Traffic worked on my website first – optimising it for my target keyphrases. After around 3 weeks after the work started I had a noticeable increase in enquiries and noticed that quite a few secondary keyphrases were starting to rank in Google – these very specific keyphrases seemed to convert far better into actual sales than the main ones – which at that point had not shifted much, although they were being targeted by the campaign. Even at that time, smart traffic were not cheap – there were PLENTY of other companies offering to do my SEO far cheaper, albeit with more wooley targets and with hindsite, I think a lot of what I was being offered back them by other random SEO companies was just smoke and mirrors. Being a small business, a had to fight for every pound earned– my spend with Smart Traffic was a major expense for me and I did think about pulling out every other week but with encouragement from Simon M. just about stuck it out. One thing led to another, by 2009 my spend with ST was pretty big, but I had binned all my other marketing and I was getting good traffic and ranking well for a decent number of keywords. Virtually all my traffic and inbounds were coming from Google organic listings. 2010 was a good year 2011 was even better – I was ranking in top position for 2 of the top 5 keywords and high positions for the others – with scores of secondary keyphrases ranking, many top, and orders were coming in thick and fast. Then, I was slapped by the Google Panda update and lost my rankings overnight. The business took a big hit and Simon M took a huge amount of grief. He invited me to see their operation and I must admit I was impressed. Over 170 staff, they seemed to working pretty hard and I remembered the days when I was doing my own SEO, would not want to go back to that – but at least I could see some justification for the costs, which made it feel better in my head! We had hoped to get the rankings back in a month, in reality it took 6! I dont blame ST, plenty of websites got hit hard to the update and Simon was pretty good when the S*** hit the fan. 9 Months after the update, I was back to where I was – plus some. I have now out competed my competitors, survived the recession and paid off my mortgage. Most is down to slogging my guts out, but – recognition where its due, my SEO campaign and Simon were a big part. I have seen a couple negative reviews and find it hard to believe they are talking about the same company. I don't work for smart traffic and have not been paid to write nice things about them, but I found them to be a decent company that get results through hard work and proper SEO. Any SEO campaign has to be long term – give it time to work guys, I know if I had baled out too early, my SEO campaign would have probably failed.

Smart Traffic has moved my online store www.onetouchsecurityonline.co.uk from not even being ranked to 9 page 1 search terms in a matter of a couple of months. They are very efficient and answer any questions you might have in absolutely no time at all. It's good to find a company that has you in mind. I would defiantly recommend them. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because my campaign is still ongoing and we have not reached our final goals, Im sure in a few more months I will be back giving them 5 stars.

I took out a pay on results campaign with Smart Traffic which meant I would pick ten keywords and as soon as two of them reached page one in Google UK I would start my 12 month contract. As all my key words were very competitive I thought I didn’t have anything to lose. There was an initial payment upfront to do the onsite work etc so I paid this and got started. I was assigned an account manager (Nick Baskerville) who would be my first point of contact and who was going to oversee the whole campaign. I have to say I thought his server was fantastic. He would always return my calls or emails with detail replies. It did take longer then they first thought to get my keywords ranking but as I didn’t start my monthly payments in till two of my keywords were on page 1 I didn’t really mind. I was also being kept updated about every 3 days by Nick which did reassure me they were still working hard at achieving the rankings. By month five we had our first keywords on page one. The contract started, at this point I did think I may not hear from my campaign manager again since the monthly payments had stated but I have to say his been in contact every week just to make sure I’m still happy with how things are going. Since the first two keywords have reached page 1 of Google a further three more are now at the same point with things improving every month. Thanks Smart Traffic.

I've been with Smart Traffic since the end of last month and what was said at the sart has happened, I'm now ranking well in the search engines. The sales guys can be a bit pushy at times, I had a 50/50 plan and fairly they accepted the 2nd payment when my site was up in Google. I had a bit of a problem with my account manager not being in touch enough but they said this would be sorted if I carried on after my 50/50 plan. Thier fee's are a bit on the high side but you have to look at what you'd spend on adwords without the seo. I'm now at the stage where my site is making money but I just can't afford going into a contract just as it's just a bit out of reach what with all my other business fee's,it aint easy being self employed!

When I first received a quote from Smart Traffic to optimise my site I must say I was tempted to look elsewhere because of the price but I now realise you do get waht pay for. A couple of my friends are using a company whichj i considered who are based in the north of England and have had nothing but trouble. OK results so far, I think i made the right decision.

Everyone needs some sort of SEO if they've got an online business and as a company smart traffic are doing what they said they would. Progress is a bit slow but no real cause for complaint.
