Utter Rubbish
i created an account, it let me log in but kept saying there is a problem with it please contact us. They have no phone number but i used their contact form twice and three days later no one has bothered to contact me. I won an auction, the contact number for the seller was permanently engaged and the email address bounced.

The best auction site on the net in my opinion. I have been using
them now for over a year. Excellent value as its basically FREE - there are always experienced, qualified moderators that offer their assistance if needed which you just dont find anywhere else, friendly, genuine, efficient. wouldnt go anywhere else. Highly recommend to any serious buyer and seller. If you havent been to Specialist Auctions yet, you really MUST go and visit, its the only place to buy and sell! I give it 11 out of 10.

We bought goods on Specialist auctions .com, paid promptly via the email address given by the seller, no goods were ever received and all messages to the moderatoe and seller have been ignored.

I found this review very helpful because...It seems that no one is running this site. There is no help from moderators, if any thing goe`s wrong you are on your own.If you get a non payer you still pay seller fees.

The problem I have with this review is that no details of the original auction item are given. Had an actual Specialist Auctions item number been given we could all have checked to see whether this is an accurate story or just a sort of misinformation.

This review is best ignored mainly because it is anonymous and not a true picture of a very friendly and helpful site, obviously the reveiwer expected miracles within a few minutes or did not contact support.
I have been buying and selling on the site for 3 years, one problem with a seller not supplying the goods as ordered was promptly sorted out, I had one or two non payers again promptly and efficiently sorted.
Having used several sites Specialist Auctions is the only one I could happily recommend

Specialistauctions is easy to use, upto 7 free images, you are not allowed this many free images anywhere else! In fact everything is free apart from 3% commission.
They have many specialist categories including great sewing/knitting/craft, vintage clothes, vanity and babershop, militaria, stamps, toys, handmade goods, hard to find items, books, magazines, jewellery, pottery, watches, you name it specialistauctions has got it.

The layer of moderators who are specialist in their field helps screen out fakes and phonies.The Forums are generally very helpful, even if the same few people tend to answer the majority of the questions.The owners are prompt in responding to problems and new ideas to improve the Specialist Auctions site.The fees are TINY - just 3% final value fee, NO listing fee and NO charge for images. What more could you want?
