The Creative Zen X-Fi is my first MP3-Player, well, my first PMP I bought. Therefore my expectations were huge towards this small piece of electronic gadget. And let me tell you one thing: The X-Fi didn ' t disappoint me at all. This product is the edge you ' re looking for. It ' s the kind of product you only need to do your daily businesses.
Let ' s start with the ear-buds. As some of you may know, good earbuds are an exception when you buy a product. I ' d like to say that the X-Fi provides, so far, the best audio I ' d have experienced so far. I ' m majoring in modern music, thus meaning, I ' m really listening to a lot of music from various devices. Bass is also pretty neat, powerful but not exaggerating or overstressing the music you ' re listening to.
The video playback is also something I ' d like to give Creative credits for. It takes quiet a long time to get everything ready, but in the end, I never regret the time invested on getting a single movie on my X-Fi. Quality is near perfection.
Now let me start with the main-reason why I bought this product. The Wi-Fi function. As you might know, Wi-Fi is only functional in ' Hotspot '-available areas. However, so far, I ' m absolutely satisfied with the Wi-Fi function. I guess it ' s understandable that this shall not be your computer-replacement, thereby, writing a book won ' t be that easy, but it ' s sufficient to check your e-mails or talk with friends.
So does this mean that the X-Fi is perfect? No, as mentioned above, the X-Fi is near perfection but it ' s not perfect. There are a couple of things I ' d like to list up:
1: Slow screen
2: Transferring files could be faster
3: Key positioning isn ' t ideal.
But overall, the Zen X-Fi is a great product, and a purchase you won ' t regret. I ' d highly recommend this product to the people who are a looking for an excellent portable MULTIMEDIA player, else, and if you ' re rather looking for an excellent mobile product, you ' d better look out for products from Sony or Samsung. Especially the P3, from Samsung, seems to be a gorgeous piece.
