On Sunday Oct 19th my partner went to the Professional Beauty North Exhibition. During the afternoon a heavy metal panel from one of the displays fell and struck her severely on the head, she was dazed and was helped to the first aid unit by the Health and Safety people who witnessed the accident. She was examined by two helpful first aid gentleman and a Doctor was called, despite my partners obvious pain the Doctor did not examine her, she was given no paperwork but was told that if she needed further medical assistance all record could be obtained from them. She had to go to A&E the following night and was told she has Post Concussion Syndrome and the pain and headaches could last for some weeks. We will of course pursue this further but so far Manchester Central have made no apology for their negligence and I think it is disgraceful that she was dismissed without a proper examination, that was echoed by the examining Dr. at A&E.

Venues have to see that visitors are safe and there is little doubt that if this accident had happened to a child it could easily have caused death.
