I picked up a pre-booked (from Australia) car at FCO. The staff at the counter were helpful and the car was clean and in good condition. My daughter and I drove through Italy, into France (to Paris) and back to Rome (nearly 5,000kms). The trip itself was enjoyable, but when we got back home I was overcharged by Targarent on my credit card. After several fruitless emails to the company I finally sent one last abusive email to them and left it with my bank to recover the money ($130). This occurred successfully. It was a shame to spoil the experience, as, up until that time, the people at the FCO office had been very pleasant and helpful. I believe the company had mixed my booking up with another one, but could not understand why after I'd sent them all of the paperwork as proof of my claim, that they couldn't just refund the money. It would have kept my faith in them and prompted a 5 star rating. Based on my experience, I would risk them again. They were certainly way cheaper than most of the other companies.
